Here's your friendly reminder that Dave Aranda thought so highly of Corey Raymond's coaching skills that he demoted him from secondary coach to CB's only and brought in Bill Busch to develop players like Grant Delpit, Jacoby Stevens, and Kary Vincent.
So because Aranda thought Raymond was a bad coach, he made him spend all his time coaching the more important position?

Not sure how. Lagway messaged him saying he knew it was between Florida and LSU, not Texas...
Their Texas 247 Insiders have been saying they lead the recruitment for some time now. This is what was posted a few days ago by Hank South.

our-star Louisiana native Wardell Mack continues to trend towards Texas, according to several sources. This coming off a late June official visit to Austin. Florida is presenting the heaviest competition to date, and both home-state LSU and Florida State haven’t thrown in the towel. But multiple sources feel it’s the Longhorns recruitment to lose at this point in time.

That's one way of looking at it.
Or you could also look at LSU's roster in that time frame and note that Corey's CB's were the ones that ended up quitting early or transferring.
Regardless, the DBU culture goes back to Ron Cooper.

Honestly feels like some sour grapes here.
Whether he is good at actually coaching or not, he recruits well and that's most of the battle in college.

LSU fans hate us more than anyone even tho they’re like our 5th biggest rival.

Keeping guys engaged and playing is part of recruiting.
He doesn't get to take any credit for the culture in that secondary without also taking responsibility for the group falling apart.
In the last 3 recruiting classes, LSU has brought in 25 defensive backs via high school or portal.

You'll learn.
Raymond is great at getting guys on campus.
Keeping them? Not so much.

fricking a that's a big get. Can't believe all the out of state talent were stacking this class.
You should have linked his on3 profile i see he's top 20 overall on there basically a 5*
Also Austin Armstrong seems to be a homerun hire as far as recruiting goes. I hope he proves to be a good coach too.

Raymond was propped up by LSU and the amount of great DB’s we had for years. His recruiting is fine but his on field coaching leaves much to be desired. I’ll be shocked if Florida is proud of their secondary over the next few years.

The LSU-Florida rivalry was good when Florida still had any chance of making it to the SECCG. Florida is more like Ole Miss to LSU fans now.

Yet, here you are trolling the recruiting board. Do you troll Ole Miss every time they get a commit?

I simply responded to the other poster, and I responded truthfully. It wasn’t a troll at all.

… and there has been a time or two that LSU has seemed like Ole Miss caliber to Florida. It’s all cyclical, don’t be ignorant.

Its hard to hate anyone who has only beaten you 2 times out of the last 10, 0 of the last 4.

Don’t act like LSU beat Florida based on skill all of those times. LSU has benefited from a lot of luck in the series.
It took a shoe toss in one game.
A roughing the passer penalty on a would be interception late in the game.
Lucky bounce lateral/toss on a fake field goal.

Sounds like a lot of excuses about to roll out.

whatever, man. a lot of those Les Miles games were pure luck.

I loved when Les would pull out the fakes vs Florida
