When it came time to speak with Alabama coach Nick Saban, it ended in a away the Windsor (Conn.) Loomis Chaffee prospect did not plan -- with a commitment to the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Alinen may have reached that conclusion anyway, but it was sped up by the way Saban handled the call. From his hometown in Finland, Alinen committed, and he announced his choice Friday live on CBSSports HQ.

Really big kid with pretty good feet. Looks like a couple of years and he will be a good one. Still relatively new to the football scene.

Might be a bit of a project, with so little exposure to American football. But he has the frame and constitution to play OL. Reminds me of Landon Dickerson.

Maybe we should have offered him a scholarship for YODELING then.

his commitment video covered by CBS shows his dad sitting next to him who looks even more massive than him.
