No, if academics are actually important, LSU isn't even a conversation to be had. The academic reputation of the cajuns is pretty damned bad in every sense
However, a lot of athletes say they are interested in academics, then sign with Bama. So you never know

We'd have 4 with an incoming RB, which we're definitely signing one. Gibbs would be a huge add to have a RB room of TDP, Emery, Curry and Gibbs.
I said it when you signed him and I'll say it again...Davis could end up being the best of the lot from last season. He's a hoss...and I really, really like Emery. Gibbs would be a really nice fit there, too. I have only seen a little of Curry, but what I have seen of him is impressive.

I like this kid's tape. However, I've heard that Academics are actually important to him, and if so it's Florida or GT. Will be interesting to watch
Instead of who? At this point, the difference between UGA and either of those schools academically is more or less negligible. Engineering focus at GT would be an exception, but that's generally not an option for football players - even the ones that say they want to go to school for engineering.

If academics were a priority then he wouldn’t be playing football.

It depends on the student-athlete. Off the top of my head, LB Josh McMillon got his engineering degree at UA this month. I think DE LaBryan Ray (junior) is also an engineering major.

Well in that case it would be Lsu. Not Florida or ga tech.

There's all kinds of engineering degrees out there. You can check any want ads in the Myrtle Beach newspapers - especially during the early spring time - and find all kinds of ads for engineering jobs. Go apply for one, and you find out, that at the beach, "engineering" also means working in the maintenance department for local hotels.....

It depends on what he wants to do. LSU has excellent journalism school, and some great engineering programs.

This is a tired dumb argument, a degree from UF is worth no more really than one from LSU, all about what you do and how you go on getting a job with it. GT has some extra clout because of some nice specialized things you just wouldn't get at UF or LSU but in the end geheric school academic rankings for the most part are for internet blowhards to argue over for no real reason.

"generally"... It's few and far between for highly recruited athletes.

It has a very good pharmacy school, too. Or it at least used to. I am guessing it is still good.

... You can pick and choose what you want to quote, but of the kids who say they want to go to school for engineering, would you say that the majority *do* or *don't* end up majoring in engineering.
In case you're struggling with the definition:
generally: in most cases; usually.
Or in other words, more than 50% of the time. You gave a couple of examples... congrats on finding some of the non-majority.

ok... then what was the purpose of replying again and bolding selected text if not to disagree? Seems largely unnecessary unless you disagreed with the premise. Otherwise you might have phrased the original reply to "yeah... it's true, most don't. But occasionally they do... like these 2 dudes at UA"
I'll let you get back to posting Evans updates.
