4-star RB Jahmyr Gibbs 5-11/194 GA hudl
Blowing up -- Current Georgia Tech commit.
247 has bumped him to (.93 4*) #132 player & #4 APB, but his composite ranking is (.90 4*) #292 player & #8 APB due to Rivals and ESPN.

Bama staff went to Gibbs' game Friday. Gibbs and Evans were both at Bama's game vs UT last night. Gibbs tweeted yesterday he got a Bama offer. Bama may push to take a third 2020 RB, but I don't know their preference(s). 5* RB Jase McClellan (OU commit) is another target, but he appears to be more of a long shot lately.

I just want to know how a below average Sprayberry team beat Dalton and held him under 100 yards. Not knocking him because he’s legit but more wowed that Sprayberry was able to do both.

Great balance, body control, and change of direction. The tape tells lies on top end speed though. 11.64 is his personal best in the 100. At a biscuit shy of 200 that probably explains the lack of early interest from any of the big boys.
Also watched the first half of that highlight tape and didn't see a single play of him catching the ball, so not sure how "all-purpose" he is. Some Georgia residents can correct me if i'm wrong, but I wouldn't think North Georgia in the appalachian foothills is really full of talented teams. The times I've been up there i've only seen small rural towns full of white folks

They're in a metro Atlanta region due to their size but they have only played two good teams all year in Creekview and Harrison. He'll play the best team on his schedule in two weeks when they play Allatoona.

I live in Floyd County and Rome won 40 straight games at the 5A (out of 7 classes) level, including beating Buford and Warner Robins in consecutive state title games. We play pretty good football in the foothills.

Jahmyr Gibbs (and Zach Evans) visiting LSU this coming weekend.

I knew Rome had a good program, just don't usually hear about a lot of kids coming out of North Georgia compared to Atlanta and South Georgia. Most states are like that though- clearly defined strong areas. It wasn't a slight, just curiosity really. Didn't realize there were a bunch of strong programs up there he was competing against.

Do you have any scoop on this kid? Have you seen him play before. Also anybody got a clue where he is leaning right now?

His highlights are insane, would be a steal for whoever gets him.

I know. Think he must have some of the most impressive highlights from a RB I’ve seen in a few years. I know he may not face the best competition but his cuts are just so dang impressive and smooth. Blows me away. Would love for bama to get him but not real sure where we stand

Guess we all have a shot unless UGA offers

Yeah really hoping Georgia doesn’t offer. Would love if he came to bama. I know he plans to visit again soon
