I don’t believe the Auburn or Bama offers would have been commitable but still a great pickup for the staff. Especially since it should give us a leg up now on landing Trey Knox.

I notice that Rivals really likes him mid 4 star, 247 not so much as mid 3 star, & ESPN has him as a low 4 star.
Not sure which service is best this year. Rivals used to be good, but they have some head scrathers this year. I know ESPN has an iffy history. Just wondering which service people think is best these days.

They weren't, and we told him he wouldn't have a chance at a committable offer at Tennessee unless he camped, which he didn't. He'll develop into a solid player tho. And this probably puts us all but out of the running for Trey Knox, unfortunately. So this ends up being a very good pick up for you guys.
Knox earned a committable offer at camp, and we're getting his final official visit, but I don't see him going to Tennessee unless we turn up the heat big time.

Interesting from afar how Pruitt has handled his instate recruitments.

He likes some of the talent, but a lot of the instate top 20 is severely overrated this year. He's made it clear that he won't take a Tennessee kid based on a star rating, you have to earn it.
I don't see us taking more than 4 Tennessee kids this class, and we've already got 2 in the boat. We are targeting a lot more 2020 Tennessee prospects, specifically in Memphis.

Good enough to earn an in person offer from Pruitt, which means he improved his speed and is obviously hard working and coachable. I think he's definitely a future SEC starter, no question.

Actually the last week...maybe the hottest recruiting staff in the nation currently. Last week Arkansas ranked 61st in the national team rankings, 13th in the SEC.
Currently Arkansas sits at #21 according to 247, and #20 on rivals.
According to rivals, since July 23rd Arkansas has landed 5 4-stars. Four of those on the defensive side of the ball.
I credit Chavis mostly for this.

I know you never emphatically stated that the talent in Tennessee was on a major upswing, but some Vols boasted about it. Major aboutface based on that statement.
