Billy's 11th flip in less than 1 month. On the verge of a top 10 (possibly top 5?) class after being ranked in the 50s in early November

Sunbelt Billy is on fire.

Kudos to the Florida administration for not making a knee-jerk decision to fire him earlier this season.

He has the Gators riding a massive wave of momentum right now.

We have an interim prez and an AD who everyone wants fired. They really didn't have many options. I am not sure the boosters were going to allow Stricklin to pick the next coach anyway.
,
But I am happy for Billy. He has worked very hard on the recruiting trail only to see his classes blow up in his face at the end because of the losses. It is definitely a different feeling with guys flipping to, instead of from UF this year.

losses hurt but really the bigger boosters were being cheap like Jeremy foley last year

Hal Lewis even confessed and tried to blame the regular fan for not giving enough to the Gator collective (now Florida victorious)

They were losing bidding wars because they didn’t want to go all in to nil

Now buying out Billy would cost more than getting into nil battles so they’re willing to throw money at that then hiring a new coach

Billy is grinding on the trail, wish he could be better as a gameday coach because he might be really good if he can figure that out

I think he’s improved somewhat on his gameday management. My biggest thing is he needs to hire a damn OC.

It's been heavily implied that the increased NIL funding came along with the condition that Billy higher an outside OC

Hopefully that is a mandate by Stricklin.
If not, he'll be getting fired next season.
