Also a year dif between the two. Franks is much improved from where he was a year ago. I dont think anyone is trying to compare the two, so much as point out Lowell sees Franks as a roadblock to starting maybe as soon as he would like. Doesnt mean he doesnt expect to sit a year, maybe two. Just a lot dif having someone like franks come in the class right before you.
Either way, I think Lowell made a good decision for himself. Auburns a good fit for him. He also made this decision early enough that there shouldnt be any sour grapes on our side in terms of feeling led on.

It hasn't change since Mustain. It's the exact same crap.
I'm not saying it isn't successful, I'm saying it literally does nothing to prepare an entire offense, outside the OL, for the NFL. That however isn't what the college game is about. IT's about winning NOW.
That said, They have zero knowledge of the fundamentals once they get to the next level and it's proven true time and time again. Talent alone won't suffice. Look at how LSU players fair in the NFL vs AU players from Gus's offense.
All that great NFL prep Mett got from Cam Cameron sure went a long way to convince Tennessee not to draft one of those zero-fundamental HUNH guys to replace him, didn't it?

That said, all that is well and good, but in the end Gus's offense did little to prepare him for the next level.
Cam Newton breaks NFL rookie record for passing yards in 2011. Wins NFL Rookie of the Year. Gets selected to the Pro Bowl as a rookie.
Not because he was well prepared, but because he was lucky, I guess.

Probably wanted to tell Gus in person he was staying home for college.
That's what I'm thinking
Me too

Wow. Gus really does wonders with QB's in only a year.

No one ever said the Titans' administration weren't complete idiots. This experiment by the Titans is going to make the HUNH QB's become a distant thought in future drafts.

No way. He's a trainer. He gets to see programs from the inside and knows what's going on.

If Mett had an ounce of mobility, he would be elite. But he's a statue in the pocket, it's a huge liability.

I was gonna mention something about credibility, but it was such a softball I decided to pass.

Lowell "Junior" Narcisse
Anyone with a name this close to Narcissus is bound to be a recruiting nightmare.

Fwiw, mett is sucking massave dick early on in training camp... and mariotta is the clear #1.
that's not an indictment of cam cameron... but it is what it is.

Now, let's think about that statement. The titans just drafted a qb who has a steep learning curve. Do you think, just possibly that some of these reports are being fabricated to boost his confidence? Mett wouldn't regress in a year that noticeably, but the titans already crowned mariota the starter. A lot of people are about to lose their jobs in Tennessee, mariota is another bust waiting to happen

I think most who follow the titans assumed mett would be putting up more of a fight right now... for the most part, he's conceded to MM... at least that's how it seems.
I don't think espns reporter is fabricating anything... but who knows

Unfortunate for the young man but he appears to of reinjured the knee he had surgery on earlier this year. He hurt it in the state title game today. I hate it for the kid he worked his arse off to get back and play

I talk to Jr several times a week. He likes Auburn, I assure you. Surprisingly, many people, including some former LSU players, have advised him not to go to LSU. I've also known Blaine since his days at Lutcher.
