Looks like everyone is all in on Tennessee now. I only wonder if this means we are focusing all in on Webb now or UT just up and stole one out from underneath us here in the past 48 hours
Brian Neidemeyer was brought in to finish this recruitment within the last few weeks.
Neids is a fricking beast. He got us Wright, Crouch and To'to'oto last year pretty much single handedly.

Ehh it seemed like he was restricted a little bit. Maybe it was because he was a freshman, or maybe it was because he didn't practice well. They didn't exactly let him loose. We all know he should've come in the LSU game but he didn't. He also should've been in on the goal line situation vs Florida.
agree with both of your takes there and said as much in my original post above - but that (misused during the season) is a different conversation than what he was told when recruited (compete for starting job).
Justin did compete for starting job in fall camp - and lost. Kirby told no tales there.
Kirby did bungle the use of Justin Fields in the regular season though - I will 100% agree w/ you there - 100%.

Rusty finally stopped trying to push the "UGA is really trying to make a move here with BJ" garbage... and of course walks back all of his earlier BS.
I get that they have a job to do, but sometimes it's just aggressively transparent that they're looking to sell subscriptions, facts be damned.
I'd rather see him go to LSU, but looks like Knoxville is the destination. Little sibling rivalry next year could be fun storyline at least for CBS.

Decision day for BJ Ojulari and not really hearing a lot with UGA and him at this moment. Said he talked with them the Tuesday after Cox was no longer on the team and not sure there was ever anymore contact. Really like him as a player and young man. Spots are tight and that is not new news. I think Tennessee is trending here late and really was a strong LSU vibe to start the week. We will see today and I will make a pick this morning, probably be Tennessee if I don’t hear anything different at this point.

Sorry, but he was probably always going to UT. He has one teammate there and one committed so they were probably pushing him pretty hard to go. He'll end up being a solid OLB in 2 years.

Quite literally just about everyone was saying LSU 2+ days ago, then it changed. We got his last visit, but they said Tennessee made a very late push. The Tennessee talk didnt even really start till a couple days ago.

The Tennessee talk for BJ has been going on since the Spring (at least from our insiders)... It did seem like LSU had made up ground, but definitely wouldn't say UT talk just started.

Seems pretty obvious to me Tennessee just stole one.

He’s been to Knoxville 6 times and made it up here 3 times over the summer alone.

I meant in terms of him actually going there, not just being interested. I mean literally when this thread was posted 2 days ago folks were all saying LSU still

I dont think he was "always" going to Tennessee, otherwise why would most people be saying LSU right up to about 36-48 hours ago?

The talk as far back as spring was that UT led substantially, between former and current team members there was a big draw. The only reason there wasn't more "he's going to UT" discussion at that point was simply because he had implied he wouldn't be committing any time soon. Discussion of where a kid ends up typically heats up round about the time commitment dates get set.

I agree that it seemed he was at least still in-play for LSU... I still maintain that it would be a better landing spot for him (definitely my preferred destination as I'm fine with UT whiffing on talent).

I think UGA shifting the recruiting strategy to primarily out of state has REALLY hurt Rusty and his business model.
There have been a few things lately where he says something different than everyone else on the beat, and it’s painfully obvious that he is either completely wrong or making something up.

Kevin Simon had a lot to do with this one.

Yeah, Rusty has been dropping the ball hard for a while now.
