Rivals Link - BJ Ojulari Commit Date - Friday 8/16

Looks like right now LSU is sitting in the driver's seat as favorite. UGA 247 reporter (Rusty Mansell) predicts LSU as of today. Auburn and Tennessee have a chance and UGA making a late push w/ the exit of Brenton Cox from the program. Most of you already know his brother - Azeez - plays for UGA and looks to be a starter and star this year.

Kid is a heckuva prospect - whoever gets him will get a good one. Good luck to all.

If it is really LSU, does that mean we move on without Webb?

Nope, that opens the door for Walker. BJ always seemed to want to make his own path.

Edit: although I just saw your post about Rusty so maybe so.

Move on isn't the word because you never move on from a great talent like Webb, but I could see Webb moving on as a result from this.

I don't see him picking the dawgs this Friday, nor do I see him flipping to us at any point down the road. Up until recently, it was thought that we weren't even really in the mix. It does seem like we may have tested the waters more recently per some insider updates, but I see him sticking with going his own path. LSU would be a good landing spot IMO.

FWIW, I didn't say he would pick LSU, just that it would be a good landing spot. UT would seemingly prefer someone with a more college ready body? My thoughts on LSU were that they'd be more apt to not need him in year 1 and he could spend that time developing in S&C... He's super talented though... not sure if he's an EE candidate? That would probably make a pretty big difference in whether he can contribute early.

Ojulari is 6-3/224. If he puts in the work starting right after his HS season, his body can be college ready by next fall to play stand-up edge rusher. He seems like a good fit for Tennessee, imo.

224

When did he weigh in over 220? I've seen 210-215 most places for a while. I see his profile has been updated on 247, so maybe that was his weigh in at The Opening finals? He still looks really lean for that to be accurate, but maybe? If that's accurate and he doesn't lose significant weight over the course of the season, then yeah, he could still be ready to play early... if he's trending to the 210-215 number, 20+ lbs of good weight might be a little less likely... though not impossible obviously.

Not your fault. He was trending LSU and now trending Tennessee.
Recruiting is fluid. It’s usually a guessing game.
