That's a good pickup. I don't know why 247 has him a 3-star. He should clearly be higher, as reflected in the composite.

Yea the discrepancy in rankings is odd. 247 has him incredibly low and Rivals has him the #10 player in the class and #1 in TX.

247 - 3 star
on3 - low 4 star
Rivals - 5 star (#10 overall)

They're all over the place on this kid. Jimbo and co have made him a priority for a while now.

A&M is now up to #30 on the composite team rankings with a 92.13 Avg (93.32 without the Punter). 5 commits in the top 80 overall. Slowly this class is shaping up nicely.

By next week his on3 ranking will be in the dumpster like Anthony Hill.

They tanked Hills rating after he committed to A&M. Once Gullette committed to tu he was all of a sudden the best LB in the country in their opinion even though he’s been rehabbing a torn ACL the past 6 months.

A&M is now up to #24 on the 247 composite team rankings with a 92.27 Avg (93.35 without the Punter), Yes indeed this class is shaping up nicely.

Looks like they didn't have TJ factored in yet.

48 to 24 in about 24 hours.

The reports of our death were greatly exaggerated.

Fantastic. Yep, sure because he choose Ags over Horns that his rankings will be influenced.

Gotta give Texas credit for being able to influence rankings so drastically.

But it continues to haunt them. Look at their composite rankings for overall player talent over last 10 years....always a Top 10. Yet, some of the players are highly over ranked. This is a root cause of why 5-stars go to become 3-stars. Maybe they should consider a different strategy as lots of SEC teams are going to use it against them in recruiting. If you dont want to be developed, go to Texas-Austin. Personally I would rather have it the other way around. And yes, Jimbo is going to have to prove he can put more and more recruits in the NFL as the star level increases in Aggieland.

If we play as expected, gonna be a very solid but smaller recruiting class this year.

I never get to bent out of shape on OL recruits. It's the hardest position to grade.

“ 93.32 without the Punter”

Punters count unfortunately. If kickers/punters got taken out of everybody’s current and past classes, everybody would rise in average.

Correct, but when the punter is 10% of your current class vs 5%, the impact is, obviously, larger.

Heard some recruiting guy said something about his wing span and footwork or something?? I know the dawgs were after him for a while, so he must be decent.

Big nasty with a serious mean streak for the line. Always need plenty of them.
