I hope Cooper really did sign with us. The dude is really not small, regardless of being underweight right now. He has a frame to play at 230+ easy. And he's fast, instinctive, aggressive, and has great body control. Dude's a player. The weight will come.

Debo Jones came to LSU less than or right at 200lbs.
It took a couple years and the fact he sat behind kwon alexander and others.
But man when he got his chance it was great.

How? We took four linebackers the staff apparently like better. I'm pretty sure we would have gotten Cooper if we had pushed.

Because Anthony and Thornton are seniors and haven't showed much.
Just feel like they won't have many options next year besides Brooks and the 2 stud freshmen.
Also with the way the numbers came out they could have taken him

Ah yes, the old “we get whoever we want, and if the kid goes somewhere else it’s because we don’t need them” story. I guess if I look back at offer lists from commits, I’ll never see LSU there?

No. We have higher rated players that have already signed. There wasnt room for him.
Sucks though, going to really suck if he develops into a great college player.
