Holy crap. I think I kind of agree with Montgomery Hill. A&M is not great right now, we are just pretty good. Hopefully that changes soon, but for now - we aren't great.
And the BIG12 is trash. I prefer the BIG12 is dogshit, but trash is close enough. Very hard to get a BIG12 person to admit this obvious fact, proud of you Monty.
Now don't get too excited if you win 10 games this year. That would mean you lost to okie & lsu - and beat a bunch of JV teams.

It doesn't matter.
It is the perception. 10-2 Texas looks great.
Nebraska in the 1980's is the perfect example.
As much as A&M hates to admit it they were outmaneuvered.
Texas will and can play in a big bowl game every year even in an average year.
Big 12 being trash is actually a benefit for Texas.

aggy is forgetting that NFL players make money on the second contract instead of the first and the quickest way for the NFL to turn away from your prospects is to give them some bust.
Just as long as Texas and Oklahoma are producing not draft picks but players who stay in the NFL and earn a second contract players will still continue to come.

Simple research proves the little 12 has owned the sec in bowl games the past 5 years. Hell the last time Aggy played a bdf team in a bowl game they lost. But hey the bdf is a third world league. When is Aggy going to learn a conference doesn't make you good. Recruiting and coaching development does. See Clemson , Ohio State, OU for proof. A conference is just regional affiliation and money distribution.
