Fred Spiller really didn't see the field.
Derrick Spiller and Dan Campbell made Randy McCown look like a decent quarterback.

He was a priority but told his spot was not guaranteed. He held out through Oct and at that point they focused more on Hunter. They got his silent commit after his visit for the UK game and Stripling lost his spot. Not that difficult to understand. I'm sure he'll do fine for you, but he didnt have a spot once Hunter became a viable option. This isn't hard to understand for most people. I guess if your school is banned from the US News college rankings for fraud, it might be

So we've gone from "Stripling didn't have a committable offer" to "he wouldn't commit when we wanted him to so somebody else took his spot", which is what I actually heard. Your coaches tried to pressure him to commit and he wouldn't, so you moved on to the next guy.
Stripling and Hunter aren't even the same kind of athlete. Stripling is a Rush end and Hunter will play inside in your scheme but who's counting? LOL

Hunter won't play inside in our scheme. You need a little more beef on the line in the SEC. He's just as fast as Stripling, and bigger to boot. A WIN/WIN for A&M and OU IMO
Rush ends that are light are a better fit in the pass-happy BDF conference

Oh yeah? Is there some big super secret everybody knows that OU's staff didn't?
When Texas and A&M agree about passing on a prospect, you should probably listen. He’s a good player but barely ended up as a 4 star on the composite. He ended up dropping over 200 spots from his highest rating.

You didn't "pass" on shite. He was still visiting aggot in late November before the December signing period. He wouldn't bother if he didn't have a committable offer you clowns. Stop lying.

It seems like everyone knew what was going on, but you.

He already does in his tape, fool. He'll play inside.

Complete horseshite aggots just say.

He's the right size to play DT in a 40 front you moron. He's listed as a 290 lb DT because that's what he is.
BTW Hunter's 40 time is listed at 5.39. Stripling is listed at 4.84. So no, he's not just as fast. Not even close. And no, they aren't the same athlete who play the same position. Hunter is a DT. Stripling is a Rush.

Kind of amusing how mad this is making you. I guess we should trust the Sooners on defensive recruiting though.

Well you turds sure don't seem to know what you're looking at. I doubt you have any idea at all what I'm talking about.

Hunter plays better on tape. All parties involved are happy, so let it go. Also, A&M played DT/DE interchangeably last year quite a bit. I'd expect that to continue as needed
Posted on 7/9/19 at 4:51 pm to ColoradoAg
"Plays better on tape" at a different position and because you said so.
DT/DE aren't the same thing, nor are they the same type of athlete. Why would anybody "interchange" them? What purpose would that even serve? LOL

Wow. This conversation is still going on? This is sad, little land thief. Give it up. No one cares about some overrated recruit everyone passed on. We’ve moved on to Manning and him ditching OU.

Stripling didn't make any visits outside of aggot and OU. I'd say it is he who passed on everyone else. According to BurntOrangeNation, Stripling never seriously considered Texas but sure boss.........they just passed on him in a year they couldn't get any DEs at all.

Stripling had a spot because he's a strong side DE. We recruit our strongside DEs to play the quick DT spot too. Think Bobby Brown in 2018, Demarvin Leal and Derick Hunter in 2019. Stripling would have been the fallback if Hunter chose one of the FL schools, but we got our guy so both schools benefited. It's amusing that you're butthurt about this.

I'm not butthurt. I'm laughing at lying Texans doing what lying Texans do. Always trying to pump yourselves up even in defeat. Lose out on a recruit? "Meh...we didn't want him"
Horn fans said the same thing about losing Bryson Washington. It's hilarious.
How is a guy that ran a 5.39 40 your #1 choice for a "quick DT" over a guy that ran a 4.84 40?

Because Hunter is 30 pounds heavier, has better film (ask FSU, Miami, and UF) and the staff preferred him. He wouldn't have offers with a 5.4 40 time, so i question your numbers. He didnt have a spot.
I do find it ironic that you complain about lying Texans when your team would lose to Vandy by 40 if all of the Texans on your roster transferred away
