He said UF was in his top 3, but UF wasn't even actively recruiting him. Had me confused AF.

Good get for UCLA though.

Taking Scott hurt us.

Quote:
"I liked Tennessee but they had too many guys at my position," Lewis said. "I know I'll have to fight for my spot but I don't want to go in somewhere where they already have their foundation set. UCLA still needs guys to come in and they are one piece away from a national championship."

We scared him off when we took Derrell Scott.

Dude was hung up on playing RB but imo he will not make it there. His size is similar to Hurd's but is way slower (mid 4.7's 40) and not near as shifty. I would've loved to have this kid as a OLB or H-Back/TE, but he obviously isn't open to anything but RB so it is what it is.

UCLA is not that far off

All AU needed was a QB this past yr and flipped a losing record into a NC appearance

that was a once in a lifetime thing... and probably something we'll never see again.

when I watch UCLA, i'm not thinking to myself... man, these dudes are one 3rd down back away from winning it all.

maybe the oregon game is skewing my thinking on them... but they lost to the three best teams they played.

What gave us problems were both our young defense and the fact that hundley has a tendency to lose his accuracy. Not to mention how young our offensive line was so we couldn't bang with Stanford and Oregon. We will be better this year and we will probably end up in the top 10

Sleeping giant. Once the take football series, which it appears they're doing, they will be a force.

UCLA puts more talent on D in the NFL under Mora than a handful of SEC teams COMBINED

They have a bevy of talent coming back and a great class to add

Afraid of that depth chart at RB. If he becomes open to playing another position we could flip him.

I would hope a top 20 team could do this.

Mora really expanding UCLA recruiting base when he doesn't even have to leave LA area.
Enough talent in that one city to support both UCLA and USC. Mora has a lot of connections though from NFL days in New Orleans and Atlanta.
