This is laughable
It is, but I think you’re missing the context. It won’t happen to UGA, but he’s 100% right in saying if LSU did this to a kid from NOLA they’d have to do some serious damage control. The coaches in NOLA throw fits over this kind of thing.

In-state is just a lot different. UGA has to be more careful about this in Atlanta, for example.

I totally agree, I certainly don’t think UGA will be blackballed. I only meant his point regarding LSU was correct.

I don't like this part of recruiting. You tell a kid he's got a spot and you let him commit and he stays loyal to you then I would like to honor that however kids also back off commitments as well so it's a two way street. The best part of it is we cut ties with Brule very early in the process allowing him plenty of time to find a suitable home. Yes, it sucks because he wanted to be a Dawg and never waivered on that while our program is banking on kids that are currently committed to other programs so it could bite us in the butt. That being said, roster management is important and I am sure all these athletes understand it's a buisness at the end of the day.
Good luck to you Mr Brule.

It is just the way recruiting works. The kids and schools all know how it works. Every program does things like this and would make those type of decisions given the circumstances. Brule will be fine. He will still get a full ride to a great school.
The previous poster is correct in stating that this type of thing is viewed differently in state and out of state. It is for that reason that UGA is often the last to offer some kids in the state Georgia but will offer out of state kids early. The same is true with LSU and Louisiana kids.

This may be true, but you'll also never see us do that to a GA kid. Ugly truth.
Eh sounds like y'all already did it to Caleb Tannor. AU side says grades appear to be fine which is why he was supposedly dropped. I imagine it was so u had room for Brenton Cox
But I do agree y'all will be more careful about it with instate kids. Brule will land on his feet. Hate this part but everyone does it. AU didn't let long time commit Kolbi Fuqua sign early to save an extra spot

AU needs DBs desperately. I'll take a sloppy second from UGA right now.

It sounds like the film is 3 star quality.
But if you challenge him with a 5 star on the opposite side of the LOS, he can really step up and shine. There is a lot of fight in there. Which leads coaches to see a very high end potential.
He should be a good get where ever he lands.

I don't believe Caleb Tannor was told to take a hike. He never mentioned any ill will or bad buisness with UGA during his decommit end. He may have seen 3 guys ranked higher than him at his position commited to UGA and that may have influenced his decision however Tannor always had AU very high and decided he wanted to go in that direction. Brule wanted to sign on the early signing period and was told to wait.

Tannor was grades. Brule has known for a while he wouldn't be in the class.
If Tannor's grades were not the issue, why didn't he sign with Auburn? Better yet, why's he still uncommitted?

Yes you will, every school has done it and will continue to, it is one of the shittier acts in football though. IMHO

Campbell and Surtain to Miami

While it's possible that both go to Miami, it is hard for me to imagine Mark Richt closing a kid on signing day when kirby, Saban, Orgeron (ha), etc are gunning for them. Even with them being local guys

Would be great for Richt, therefore it's a pipe dream by rule.

Because AU has filled up at DL while he was committed to UGA. Talk is he might be committing soon to AU if we decide to take a 5th DL. Hesitation isn't over grades on our end but available spots. Only got 5 left and needs at OT, CB and maybe TE
