2024 3* LB Xavier Atkins commits to LSU

2021 stats: 219 tackles, including 180 solo tackles, 28 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He also logged two interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and touchdowns on defense and special teams. Brian Kelly pissed off true lefty again with this kid decommitting from Mizzou and immediately pledging to LSU.

I know 247 listed him but is this really a serious commit?
Mizzou fans never took it as one.
I don't think Missouri would use up a spot this far on this kid, much less you guys.

Lol is this a joke? He’d be one of the best defensive players in your class. He plays in a rural area in north central Louisiana and hasn’t gotten much exposure. Kid is about to blow up once people start to see him more.

He’s numbers are unbelievable and he’s an early commit. I would assume it’s very serious given he’s an instate kid. They evaluated him and like his ability to translate to the next level.

That's over 15 tackles a game
Reminds of back when Luke Kuechly played at BC he was racking up a ton of tackles every game. Nobody in college football has averaged over 15 tackles a game in college since Kuechly last did it in 2011 (15.9 a game).

This kid is all over the field. in regards to what the other mizzou poster said, his commitment to mizzou was odd in that it was almost right away, and he had no other offers. Most mizzou fans knew he wouldn't stay. Can never blame a kid for leaving once a instate school offers.

Yeah I was thinking that too. We get no good recruiting coverage in Missouri so I had no idea how good he was.

One source I saw said he only played in 13 games. (Not sure if he was injured one game or what the case was) That is phenomenal. How in the world is this kid a 3*?
Saw he ran a 4.5 40 with a bruised hip.
Looks to be a great pickup.
