Gunner's high school coach is Jaybo Shaw. Jaybo is the big brother of former Gamecock QB Connor Shaw.
Got the Bobo and Jaybo inside track with Gunner.

Kirby's Dad coached at Rabun years ago. He got Bobo to come help out when he was there back then. Prior to that they'd both coached in South Ga.
Conner Shaw's dad coached up until last year at Rabun, then his brother Jaybo took over. Gunner's family and the Bobo's are as close as it gets. Think Mr. George has helped out with Gunner since he was 10.

Everything we've heard is that if Bobo is still here, Gunner will be a Gamecock.
Bobo is quickly endearing himself to our fanbase and the team absolutely loves him. Muschamp handpicked and hired his own replacement it seems.

I'm aware of who the head coach is. I was asking if Bobo's dad still coaches or helps out up there.

Not used to having quality depth in the QB room here. That would give us elite 11's in Hilinski and Doty and add Gunner to it. Joyner will still be here as well.
Bobo's QB from Colorado State is transferring here. He's from SC originally (Dorman.) Doubt he plays much, if at all, bc he's had 3 ACL surgeries but he'll be useful in helping our current QBs transition to Bobo's system.

UF has Carlos Del Rio as a 2021 commit, but if Emory transfers for some reason, the QB room in 2021 would be just Anthony Richardson.
Mullen would be a fool not to go after Brock at this point.

Caleb going to be a Sooner he was at the OU camp the same time Vandergriff committed. Riley said last night he is reviewing the game film and will let Caleb know soon if he’s their guy. Won’t be long.

Yes he says he wants to be close to home. That was his official statement. Part of me thinks he was worried about seeing Rattler come in before Mordecai after Hurts came out. Rattler can leave after two years since he redshirted but most likely wouldn’t leave for three more years which means he would have to set one redshirt season. He was also told over the weekend we had to go after another qb in 2020 chandler Morris because we only have two scholorship qbs on roster. The timing of this makes me think it was a combination of all of this. He’s a dang good player and it sucks but like others have said defense is the issue and that’s looking better and better which each recruiting class. Right now it’s just a depth thing. We have to flush all those older less talented guys out of the system so these young guys can learn. One or two more years and will be will good to great on defense if recruiting atleast stays the same on defense.

Not sure that's gonna matter. Muschamp is on the hot seat and I just don't see a 5* QB picking USCe over UGA, UF, Clemson, Bama, LSU, etc
