Oregon wasn't in his Top 2/3 so it makes sense if they want a real chance here.

Right. Just let him sail off though.

He has said Bama has NOT offered the brother . It has not been mentioned by ANY of our insiders . If it requires two schollies this year to get him, he WILL Not be coming to Bama unless he is playing games with everyone or we miss on everyone

Sopsher is now a 4-star on Rivals.
ETA: He dropped all the way down to #72. Yikes.

Gonna be interesting to see if Saban can light a fire under his arse. Are y'all keeping Rodney at defensive end, or maybe moving him to TE. Aren't you a little thin at TE?

We aren't taking Rodney Sopsher.

Ishmael dropped 31 spots on ESPN to #39 overall.

Basically they know he isn't going to bama therefore he plummets. If he was committed to bama he would have rose just as many spots. At this point what are these guys doing to rise or fall in the rankings? Make no sense but I guess they sell subscriptions...

Get the frick out of here with this shite.

He is plummeting because he's fat, lazy and has poor technique. It has nothing to do with Alabama.

Perhaps it was his piss poor performance when he had to face equal talent in the UA or AA game.

Which is strange considering about the time he started making his demands ( publically anyway ) he was getting his arse kicked everyday at the all star practices.

Yep he is so fat, so lazy, has horrible technique and yet Nicky made him a priority! Lol

Well Saban sees Sopsher has the potential to be really, really good. The recruiting services are dropping Ishmael based on his film and all-star practices and game performance.
Is that so hard to understand?

No hustle and no technique means likely disappointment. Obviously a kid can learn mature and improve, but we project based both on play and potential. He's shown flashes, but his play is uninspiring overall; and he's athletic, but his work ethic puts into question if his real ceiling is actually short of what his athleticism would suggest.
That having been said, there isn't a single elite coach who doesn't believe they can take a kid and teach him how to reach his potential. That's the job. I expect the coaches to be higher on him than the rating agencies.
The kid deserved to drop in the rankings. He earned it.
Still, he's the best DL left out there with enormous upside. Coaches care much more about that than anything else.
