Not get into means cast judgement with an unfounded basis for that stance other than with your limited info it runs you wrong. You're entitled to think what you want. Doesn't mean I can't call you petty.

I believe the coaches are still praying on this, and why I don't have an answer for you yet.

Well you call it a pitch which does indicate you don't believe it and I think it's a little beyond your area of expertise to judge the coaches morality of using religion as a sales pitch. But maybe that's just douchebag thinking like you said.

I'd rather read about players in this thread than you complaining of the coaches recruiting methods and morality judgements.

Thanks for the video. Saw lots of white people in it and a lot of shot gun formations. I hope the coaches get more from that than I did.

So how confident are you guys that Liner won't flip?

Not to be debbie downer, but I feel as confident about him as I did Yeldon

I'm confident we keep him. There are key differences:

1. Yeldon grew up a Bama fan. He wanted to play RB, Bama started recruiting him as a DB, so he committed to AU. He blew up his senior year, Bama started recruiting him as a RB, and the rest is history. Liner grew up a die-hard Auburn fan.

2. Yedon was constantly being recruited by his best friend, Ryan Anderson, and never recruited for Auburn. Liner has already said he's trying to get OJ Howard to come to AU with him

I don't really care for Florida fans bitching about coaches selling religion when Urbs was telling kids that God spoke to him in his dreams about the kid playing for Florida.

You all just need to shut your god damned mouths

It's all up to the coaches man. If the recruiting pitch is real and Chizik and company are practicing what they're preaching, then fine. I see no problem with it. If they're talking about faith and walking the right path with recruits before they sign and not setting that example after they sign, then that's when it's terrible.

But I just think that's who Chizik is, and I love the fact that he doesn't apologize for it. I think he's very much devoted to his faith, and it rubs off on his job and on these kids. People's opinions are their opinions, but I wish we had more coaches like that today.

I specifically remember seeing a quote from the recruit about Urban's "dream from god." I guess the quote could have been made up...

So, at this point, we have these players committed...

#1 kicker in Jimmy Hutchinson
#1 linebacker in Trey Johnson
#4 defensive end in Dee Liner
#8 defensive end in Carl Lawson
#11 wide receiver in Earnest Robinson
#27 cornerback in Kamryn Melton

Good, good start...
