I'm actually on the Blakely bandwagon. I don't remember hearing anything about him being in the doghouse. I just remember there was a rumor a while back that he wasn't happy at Auburn and wanted to transfer but apparently that was just like the Pat Miller rumor.

I had heard the Pat Miller story was proven to be true. However, he worked things out with coaches and all is good.
I am just ready for the season to get going and see what our team looks like.

I'm ready to see Tre Mason and Corey Grant, as they have been working their asses off to get better and become leaders. I just can't see Blakely being anywhere but 4th-5th on the list of pecking order. I imagine Jovon Robinson will pass him next season since he's our biggest running back, and IMO, most talented.
I guess we'll see...

I agree with TT's he doesn't seem into the whole football thing like most of the other guys. I've seen a lot of negative stuff from him this summer on twitter.
A few weeks back I noticed the o-line and d-line going back and fourth it was funny, but good to see.. Frazier said something like he would take off his "can't hit the qb jersey" because his o-line wasn't going to let the D get to him and all all the O-line was re-informing him they would protect him.. Love to see that kinda stuff even though it's only practice..

Blakely was doing early morning workouts with Yox and meeting with tutors every Saturday. So call that what you will but most players aren't doing that.

He's a top tier RB, no doubt. I like 247's list better, though
Oh he's absolutely one of the top 7-10 backs in this entire class. I'm not knocking him. I was just surprised to see someone calling him the best.
Like I said, I'm biased toward 247 so I always default to their rating on a given player or team's class. I have a couple of friends who are invested in them so I know who important accuracy is to their long-range business plans. They want to be able to point to their rankings 2-4 years later and show how they "got it" better than everyone else.

I don't really care about that guy anymore. Kinda sad, really.

Really sad...Dyer had an opportunity to break many records at AU and he chose not to. In two years he broke friggin Bo Jackson's freshman rushing record and was the MVP of the friggin national championship game. Could have done great things this year.

Auburn has dropped recruiting of Dye
That's not a huge surprise considering his grade issues.

I will agree he is talented, but I can't agree it is way above the others on roster.

According to a Va Tech writer's twitter Derrick Green is in Tuscaloosa today and heads to Auburn tomorrow. I have not seen that anywhere else.

I think most of us like 247 better. Probably has more to do with website layout and features than anything.
Honestly, very few (if any) people on this site are qualified to say one site's analysis is any better than another sites. We all just regurgitate what we're told.
At the end of the day, they're just opinions. It will be interesting to do a side-by-side comparison in a few years to see if one site is actually more accurate than another.

With Blakely you have to question a kid who leaves a school after one spring practice. Sounds like in that situation he did not want out of the dog house. That puts big time pressure on Mason and Robinson in my opinion. Auburn needs someone to get tough yards up the middle and while Robinson has the size Mason has some experience.

I also think he's the most talented RB on the roster. I'm just not sure his he has the work ethic or dedication to get the most out of that talent.
Some people are just tortured souls.
