The difference is we're more experienced and talented this year. We had some inexperienced seniors last year that weren't useful at all. We've replaced them with more talented, but younger players now, and many of these underclassmen got valuable PT last year

It's finals this week in Auburn so I imagine that slowed things down a bit for us.

It's always pretty quiet after Spring ball. Kids are going to camps now, etc.

Oh yeah, we're definitely better off experience-wise this year compared to last. The underclassmen % of this class will decrease a bit too if Chiz decides to hand out a scholly or 3 to some senior walk-ons. (I assume the underclassmen ratio is determined on the number of scholarship players)

That's the key.

We'll have 15 true Soph's we'll have this year with a good bit of actual playing experience as well as several that played special teams.

Gabe Wright, Angelo Blackson, Tre Mason, Quan Bray, Reese Dismukes, Kiehl Frazier, Brandon Fulse, Robensen Therezie, Jermaine Whitehead, Erique Florence, Devaunte Sigler, Justin Garrett, Jonathan Rose, Jaylon Denson, CJ Uzomah.

And we'll have these RFr that will more than likely play at some point or another.

Kris Frost, Sammie Coates, Mike Blakely, Chris Landrum, Anthony Swain, Christian Westerman, Greg Robinson, Jabrian Niles, Keymiya Harrel

And then you have the Rsoph's

Corey Grant, Ladarious Owens, Chad Slade, Eric Mack, Jonathan Mincy, Trovon Reed, Justin Delaine

And incoming freshman that have a chance to play

Cassanova McKinzey, Ricardo Louis, Patrick Miller, Jaquay Williams, Jovon Robinson

So, that's a total of 37 underclassmen that will probably contribute next year, any maybe upwards of 41/42 for special teams, depending on how many true freshman play ST's.

There may be some other true freshman, but at this point, I think they want redshirt as many guys in this last class as possible, and do the same going forward now that won't have to rely on true freshman to contribute.

Our D-line should be very good this year. I expect the DB's to be better than average. I would think with a young (but talented) offensive line our offense with only be as good as our QB is. I am not sure we will be great on that side of the ball unless Frazier starts and get better as the year goes along.

I'm glad Clemson lost most of their lines and state won't have Cox next year. Normally I'd be a little more worried about a young O-line getting shell shocked in those first games but ours set up pretty nicely considering the competition we are playing.

Would probably commit with a solid Auburn offer, but Loeffler isn't ready to take him. He's still evaluating others that may be higher on the board

Who else is the staff looking at? I read an article that shows it's Auburn LSU battle.

Bateman, Rettig (but I don't see him leaving the coast), Olsen, and Buchanan I think are the main ones.

I wonder how his visit with the USC coaches went

Spoke with Trey after practice, he said he's as solid to Auburn today as the day he committed. Said he will visit USC, Miami, Penn State next fall, in addition to Auburn. Johnson said he has a great relationship with coach Thigpen and loves the defensive class Auburn is putting together with Dee Liner, Carl Lawson, Cameron Toney and Kamryn Melton.

Miami and Mizzou coaches were at his practice today, and my favorite asst coach Ed O will be there later this week.
