2014 quarterback Devlin Hodges has spent much of the month of June on the road camping at different colleges. He talks a little about each camp he has attended here.

quote:

Devlin Hodges is a 6-foot-2, 180 pound quarterback out of Morris (Ala.) Mortimer Jordan in the 2014 class and he is working hard to get his name out there this summer.
He has been on the campus of four SEC schools in the month of June and he talks a little about those here:

Alabama: "The camp at Alabama went well. Coach Nussmeier told me that I threw the ball well and he liked my balance and arm. He wants me to work on my footwork, but he liked me. The winning tradition they have stands out to me."

Auburn: "It was my first time at Auburn and their new facilities are nice. I just listened to Coach Leoffler and I will try to take what he told me to make myself better. Auburn is a good school and I had a good time at their camp."

Mississippi State: "I am close to Coach Collins at Mississippi State and I think the camp went well. I like the coaches there, I like their offense, and I had a good time there. They probably showed me the most attention."

Ole Miss: "There was a lot of quarterbacks there, so it was hard to get too much attention from the coaches that day. I did not get to talk to them a lot. I like their facilities and their campus. I like their coaches too."

Another camp Hodges attended early in June was the MVP Camp in Alpharetta, Ga. He competed with top 2013 quarterbacks such as Joshua Dobbs (Arizona State commitment), Taylor Lamb (South Alabama commitment), and Parker McLeod (Alabama commitment) there, but he walked away with hardware.

"The MVP Camp was an awesome camp and to win the Top Quarterback award was a blessing. There was a lot of top talent there, especially at quarterback, so I was happy about that," he said. "The coaches were great, I learned I had to compete hard every play, and it was a great experience."

That is five camps in the month of June alone for the talented 2014 signal caller out of Alabama. He has one thing in mind as he prepares for his junior season.

"My goal is to get my name out there. I want to play SEC football one day, so I am going to these camps to compete, learn, and show coaches what I can do."

Hodges grew up a fan of the Crimson Tide, but is open to all schools at this time.

He threw for over 1,300 and 19 touchdowns in seven games as a sophomore.

I don't know who we are targeting for the 2014 class, but I know EJ Moss has an offer. It may not be committable at the moment, but he has one nonetheless.

What are you guys hearing on Foster? The guys on our end are hearing he may open it up this weekend at the camp in Atlanta.

I've heard that he was going to "open it up" each of the last 4 weekends. I'll believe it when it happens.

Just that from UGA and AU fans for 3 months now that he would open up his recruitment. Still has not not happened so we will see if your insiders finally got it right.

And Dixie/BuccWild...

Although, Dixie may be the only credible poster.

I've been wanting to ask... why do the UGA commits always want to make cute little nicknames for themselves? Dream Team / Ring Team / Fab 5.... I dont get it. They dont do much on the field, but they are known for some epic nicknames while being recruited! I'm just wondering..

Josh McNeil (i'm assuming his top 2 is us and UGA?) I would say JM is ours when he announces in July. Remember he was a no show in Athens.

Marquez White if his offer is firm meaning not a wait and see on someone else.

DeMarcus Walker (might be back on campus this weekend) If he returns this weekend he is ours, but do not hink he will go public until Aug 3rd. He is trying to create a big event for it so it seems.

Brendan Langley (if you believe him that Bama leads, some UGA fan interpret that as UGAy leads)Never believed UA has and this was a player dictating to a coach, CMR at UGA, his terms. Basically you want me you take my teammate. UGA though has a few schollys they can burn this year.

Derrick Henry who knows with him butI have read he may have put in a holding pattern to wait to see what another rectruit does 1st

Jonathan Cook - ok, honestly i just put this guy here to appease Bucc. #DONOTWANT! I think he needs clear a few things up on his end before UA take a commitment from him.

If Robert Foster dommits this summer as planned I do like our chances and saying a lock because I do not belive in them.

Greg Gilmore even though I think he will end up at LSU is suppose to commit pretty soon but it may depend when his family can see his top 3 campuses.

Yup, and Dixie said he was a silent commit to Auburn, so I should take back what I said about him saying Reuben Foster will open his recruitment back up soon.
