I'll be completely shocked if this isn't a UGA/UF battle all the way until he announces.

Same. Let's see how Tunsil feels about UGA when the effects of summer wear off and he has to go to school so close to Gainesville in the Fall. Still a ways to go, but I think we're in the best position we can possibly be in with him at this point

For all you Georgia Fans. Here is some material to fap yourselves out of our thread. Win more than 2 national titles then maybe Georgia recruits will want to come to Georgia. Ill enjoy Foster and McMillan playing side by side in the future.

Just a warning though no amount of scheming can stop a 6'6 235 LB WR that can run a 4.5 when you have green CBs in their 2nd SEC start

Wouldn't it be DGB's 1st SEC start? He has only played a few games against real competition in his entire life. Just saying.

This.

What makes it interesting is Langley stating multiple times over the past few weeks that Bama leads and he was even tempted to commit during his last visit... Maybe he was jay kay?

Plus, Branden Smith, as of right now, will be back for that game (only 1 game suspension) and Sanders Commings has appealed his. Very likely he is back too. Plus, we'll se hwo Mizzous OL does without a powerful run game against our DL and LBs. Could get interesting if they hold up, but those are two of the best defensive units in the country

The reason why Dawgs feel so confident with Langley is that they offered his teammate, Quincey Mauger...

From Brendan Langely:

@KippLAdams Yup! He earned that all on his own! Oh and btw, we WILL be attending the same university!!!!

So they can come over to the SEC Recruiting board acting like fricktards (some of them), but nobody can go over there and bring controversy. Interesting.

Just remember his "I have the best poker face in recruiting" comment from a while back, well before his teammate's offer

Guess y'all missed over the weekend where we offered his teammate Mauger after he worked out for Lakatos and Granham. Langely then told reporters:

Mauger is suspected to commit sometime this week

Maugers offer list...

Navy
Ohio
Iowa State
Furman
UCF
UGA

Desperation mode much? They went full blown Clemson on us... Before the UGA faithful start celebrating, it wasn't that long ago Reggie Ragland, Jameis Winston and Kwon Alexander all said they would be playing together too.

He worked out at the camp this weekend, we wanted another safety (not getting Vonn Bell), Grantham liked what he saw The tune on here from the Bama contingent after the offer was that, admittedly, Mauger could play. So...

because one group of kids not playing together means that kids a year later won't either. Wasn't long ago that Ray Drew, Jay Rome, Malcolm mitchell, etc all put together a team of recruits that went to the same place

I guess all the Georgia fans missed this article that I posted yesterday regarding Langley (which came from Chad Simmons BTW) that came after Mauger got his offer:

The home-state Georgia Bulldogs once led for Brendan Langley, then some thought they had been eliminated a month ago. What is Langley thinking now? Could UGA offering his teammate help? Get the latest here.

quote:

Brendan Langley admits there was an "issue" with Georgia, but that is as far as he wants to go with the details.
The one-time leader Georgia Bulldogs and Langley have "resolved" the issue according to Langley, so where does Langley stand now?

"My top four are Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia," Langley told Scout over the weekend. "Alabama is still me leader right now."

The 6-foot-1, 188 pound cornerback out of Marietta (Ga.) Kell once thought he would commit to someone in June, but now he is set on committing in August.

Does UGA still have a shot?

"Georgia was never out of it. We settled the issue about a week after it came up and they were back in it. I have talked to them a little since then, but they were never completely out of it."

When the issue was resolved, it did not push UGA back up his list either.

"I do like them more now after figuring out what was going on, but It doesn't bring them any further up my list," said the four-star corner. "I just have to keep looking around, talking to coaches, and trying to figure out which school is the right one for me."

It has nothing to do with Langley, but the Dawgs offered another defensive back out of Kell on Saturday.

Quincy Mauger was impressive at the Mark Richt Camp and he earned an offer from the Bulldogs. Could this help the Dawgs?

"Me and Quincy are very good friends and this definitely gives me more to think about with Georgia.

"I would love to play with Quincy, me and him have talked about playing together, and I think we will be visiting Georgia together sometime soon. We have not set it up yet, but I could see us in Athens to visit with the coaches soon."

Mauger is a 6-foot, 200 pound safety that can cover and hit and he has offers from Furman, Iowa State, Marshall, Navy, Ohio, and UCF along with Georgia.
