The Desean Smith stuff is being greatly overstated. LSU is still the overwhelming favorite. We'd have to frick up bad to lose him. I never doubt Bama's recruiting prowess so anything is possible but if the LSU staff does their job Smith will sign with LSU.
I sincerely hope none of yu guys take anything Lesticles posts on 247 as complete truth or even anything close. Have you seen his post history over there? I'm not even a member of 247 but just reading his posts on the LSU board and the Blue Board tells me all I need to know about his recruiting info. You guys have great insiders that will tell you most of what you need to know. No need to concern yourselves with a less than knowledgable LSU fan.
I'll be interested to see if Ricky Jefferson actually shows up at Bama. Keep us updated if he makes it please. Thanks.

We have one of the top TEs in the country committed, I don't see DeSean Smith coming to Alabama. I would love to be wrong, but I just don't see it right now.

Eddie Williams' high school coach is in some trouble. While it probably won't affect Eddie, I thought I would mention it before it makes it to TigerDroppings.
These findings have to do with Arnold High School and the high school football program.

No we didn't. We acknowledged bama was in it deep for Collins. Devall most never really saw coming to BR. I mean he didn't visit but once and that was last February. When you have a former Bastrop DC taking him anywhere but LSU it's hard to convince the kid otherwise. FTR A&M almost had him committed as well and as soon as he saw A&M leave the 3-4 he was all bama.
Now all we can do is beat his team for his entire tenure at bama.
Nice flame, Swamp Tider.

Same here. He skipped the first Bama and LSU junior day

If he wants to win he will show up.

You seem upset. I am just pointing out the obvious in this topic. If Jefferson wants to play for champion he will show up at Alabama because the proof is in the pudding (2 out of the last 3 NC).

Upset? Why would I be upset? I don't understand how you can be so dense. Most have an on/off switch for their inner troll, but you on the other hand aren't trolling. You're just that... Tbh I don't have a word for it yet, but when I do you will BE the first to know.

Hard to compete when there are 3rd party influences. He has voodoo written all over him now with how he's handling it all.

Voodoo. Karma. Symmetry. - "They (the Tigers) win. These are deep feelings. (LSU) is very focused and centered in what they are doing. Alabama is less centered. They'll fumble, and they are not alert."

Tarot cards - LSU wins. It was all good news for LSU. In the cards, Lady Luck, passion, moving forward, harvest, good communication and -- wait for this one Tiger fans -- celebration.

Crystal ball - "No one gets hurt. Things will work out good for LSU," he said. "LSU will score at least 20 points. LSU is going to run over them and will have success into next year. They've really got it together."
After those three readings based on Voodoo and the psychic arts in NOLA back in January, LSU may want to re-think how much they pay attention to such things in the future.

“I think right now, Alabama is number one, then Florida State, LSU, Miami, and Florida,” stated Smith. “I think Alabama is number one because I saw the way they use their tight ends in the national championship game. LSU doesn’t really use their tight ends much. Hopefully this year they’ll use them and we’ll see if there’s a difference. It depends on what they do this year.
“I watched Florida State’s first game and if they say they’re going to play a freshman, they’ll play a freshman. Miami- I hear lot of tight ends in the NFL come from Miami. Florida’s tight ends had like 60 catches this year.”
Smith, who is being recruited for the Crimson Tide by running backs coach Burton Burns, received an offer from head coach Nick Saban on National Signing Day.
“Me and Coach Burns are building a relationship. We talk a lot. He’s a really good guy to talk to and sounds like a guy I can trust. I’ve talked with Coach Saban, too. He talked about the offense they run with double tight ends pretty much the whole game which is really good. They’re competing for national championships, which he’s proven twice or really three times in the last decade. I actually got my offer from Alabama on National Signing Day.”
Smith had plans to be at Alabama’s second junior day, but is recovering from a recent surgery to repair a partially torn labrum.
“Everything’s going good- it’s a really common surgery. I had no clue and it started bothering me, so I went and had it checked out and it ended up being a partial tear. I played with it through the whole season and just found out. We wanted to go ahead and get it fixed so I could be healthy for this season.
“If I do go to any camps this summer I want to go to a couple of schools I really like. I know I had the surgery, but I’d really like the opportunity to go to Nike’s big camp, The Opening.”
Tight end usage and the opportunity to win a national championship are the two biggest factors in Smith’s decision-making process at this time.
“I’m looking at who utilizes their tight end most and gets the ball to their big guys. I’m also looking for a school where I can win a national championship in four or five years, depending on if I redshirt. Those are the main things. I’m going to take my officials next year and see what comes up during the season and figure out what I’m going to do.”
