Well, it sounds obvious, but whatever happens is going to eventually happen. He'll either solidify his committment to Alabama, keep flirting with Auburn while being committed to Alabama, decommit and try to make a decision later, or decommit and shortly after commit to Auburn.

Auburn has a few things working in their favor: Dee Liner and Jeremy Johnson recruiting him hard. Him growing up an Auburn fan. Him liking what Auburn does with their tight ends better that Alabama (although, I'm not sure why he said that since we have a new OC). I think having Lutz also gives us an advantage.

I guess we will find some things out at BCW.

It's ever easy to steal a commit, or future signee, from Alabama. Especially when they are as highly touted.

Link? Where is this coming from?

Rumors from message board, and not trying to be an arse, but common sense is playing a part in it too. I have no idea what to think of the situation because recruiting is so crazy now.

And that is pretty stupid to wait to the weekend to decommit if you know it is going to happen. Why wouldn't you just decommit when you know you are going to?

No clue, but kids do it all the time. IF he does decommit, at least it'll give you time to find someone else as a back-up plan. When a great player, like TJ Yeldon and OJ Howard, decommit very late in the process (my reason for also putting TJ Yeldon), it's hard to recover and have enough time to grab someone else you want.

17 year old egos are hilarious. I love when they think they are hot shite when they get to campus and show up to practice and the older players set them straight. Ever heard the story of Dre Kirkpatrick at his first contact practice?

Ask OJ, he's the one that said it in an interview.

Lutz played fullback last year anyways, due to Eric Smith's dumbass.

He'll be a full-time tight end this season.

I don't see how he can objectively look at the situations and come to that conclusion. Smelley was the focal point of the offense in the biggest game of the year. If he didn't like that then he isn't going to like anything.

He walked in and expected to start over Kareem, Javier, and Marquis, so Saban and Smart said ok, if you think you are a starter, prove it. Lined his arse up against Julio Jones the first play and threw him a screen pass and the rest is history.

Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on a second. It was always my understanding that Dre came in and slapped the shite out of Julio on the first day of practice. This has shattered my perception of his swag.

I predict that he'll coach another 6 years. That's enough time to cement his legacy. Longer than that and I think he might start to lose the energy he needs to be at the top of the profession.

Well, at least he kept his word...

He said he wasn't scared of Julio.

If our offense hadn't changed, I would agree with you.

We're going from an offense that didn't know how to use (or really even have) a TE, to one that will use multiple receiving TEs. At this point, they can sell the kid on whatever vision they have. Who's to say otherwise?

6 more years, 60-65 wins, and 2 NC's would cement him as the best coach in CFB history IMO.

Not that I concede OJ to the Barn, but Ill take Cyrus, Calloway, and TJ Yeldon for OJ. Calloway might very well be our starting H-Back in August

I'm not going to sit here and argue with you in the Alabama Recruiting Thread so that I can get RA'd multiple times.
