NOT happening. Tenpenny is much more likely to go to Arky than Jones to UGA.

Jones plays in the toughest class in the nation as Georgia AAAAA [will be AAAAAA in 2012] had 14 different teams that were ranked in a National Top 100 in 2011. He dominated in this class and would welcome the competition at Bama.

Tenpenny's ranking is more so based on his SPARQ as Arky doesn't have elite competition and he didn't play in 2011.

FYI....I saw Henry play against Buford here in ATL Metro in 2011.

He is NOT an SEC-caliber RB. Elite, SEC Athlete....YES....RB, NO. Buford is AA and he was shutdown until he scored on a long TD 76 yard run late in the 4th QTR against the backups to make the score 49-7. Prior to that he had like 30 yards on 20 carries or so and didn't look agile IMO.

Good Q/A Mailbag on a site that I think does probably the best job of any on rating prospects. Up & coming site called The Ringer.

Discusses Derrick Henry to Bama.....

You clearly know nothing about Buford.

I live in ATL.....and follow high school recruiting like nobody else in this area. Constantly get calls from parents and coaches for my feedback on their performance. I know Buford very well. It wasn't so much his performance but how Derrick Henry runs. Watch the video. I linked it. If you know anything about assessing RBs you will see what I am seeing. If not....you probably won't.

I've seen Alvin Kamara and Tyren Jones play against the likes of Grayson and Robert Nkemdiche, North Gwinnett, and Peachtree Ridge.....and Jones and Kamara were much more impressive.

I know Buford was NOT better than Grayson in 2011.

Ok. I'll give you that since I don't know you as a poster. But you can't take one single game and go off just that. I understand he runs high and is not shifty but if he's good enough to warrant multiple scholarship offers but these big time programs that's good enough for me. Might he be a better linebacker? Possibly. But I have no doubt that he can be a very very good SEC running back

There nothing new in it really.

In addition to visiting Bama, he plans on visiting UGA and Tennessee again this summer.

He likes our offense and could see Yeldon and him being a tandem like Ingram and Trent.

When he visits Bama he wants to talk to current players to see what they have to say about the program.

I would post it but probably not a good idea since I use the same username over there.

Just curious as to why you're not recruiting Greg Gilmore?

The 1 bounce lateral to the LT for a TD at the 21:00 mark is pretty awesome

Those quotes from Gilmore are from February. He's considered by many to be a heavy, heavy lean to LSU at this point. Some even say a silent. I don't believe in those, though I know they exist, because they usually mean nothing. Tim Jernigan was a silent too. He's not at LSU.

You guys talk too much. I had to read almost 50 fricking pages to catch up and I posted in the thread Sunday night.

Congrats on Allen. Beast to me. Prototype skillset for Jack. I'm sure in a perfect world the prototype would be someone with Clowney's(or Hubbard's really) size but size is overrated for a spot like that.

I got you brah:

Georgia commit impressed with UA
Tony Tsoukalas

The University of Alabama already has two running backs for the class of 2013, but that has not stopped UA coaches from pursuing the No.1 rated athlete in the nation, four-star Derrick Henry.

Despite his commitment to Georgia, the 6-foot-3, 241-pound running back said Alabama coaches have been pressing hard to get him to Tuscaloosa this spring. UA assistant coach Burton Burns was at Henry's high school in Yulee, Fla. yesterday to talk to him about what Alabama has to offer. Yulee is just north of Jacksonville.

"They want a big back," Henry said. "If I came in, they'd have the same kind of thing they had with Mark (Ingram) and Trent (Richardson). They also like how I can catch the ball out of the back field."

Henry is not concerned about the two running backs Alabama has already in the 2013 class, and said he is confident he will be able to compete for playing time wherever he goes.

Although he is currently committed to Georgia, Henry said he is open to other schools, and a June 8 visit to Tuscaloosa will have a lot to say about where he will end up.

"I went down to Alabama for the LSU game, but I didn't get to see the whole campus," Henry said. "When I go there next I will get to see everything and talk to the players, the facilities, the whole nine yards."

Henry has had the opportunity to watch the Alabama offense plenty of times on television and said he is impressed with what he sees on the field from the Crimson Tide.

"I love everything about the offense," Henry said. "Since Saban has been there, they have been very successful. I like the way they send people to the NFL and the kind of scheme they run down there. You just got to like it, and I feel like I can fit their scheme."

The powerful back said he can see himself coming to Alabama and playing along side Alabama freshman T.J. Yeldon and forming a duo comparable to what Alabama had with Ingram and Richardson.

Henry has talked with Bobby Ramsay his head coach at Yulee High School who encouraged him to keep his options open and fully take advantage of the recruiting process.

One thing important to Henry is talking with players from the schools he is considering. Henry plans to talk with Alabama players during his visit to se what the university is like through their eyes.

"I really want to talk with the players on the team and ask them about everything," Henry said. "You can only really know if you ask the players, that's who goes through it."

Henry has not set a date to finalize his commitment and said he plans to take the recruiting process one day at a time. Along with his visit to Alabama, Henry also plans to take trips to Georgia and Tennessee this summer.
