I bet it is 4.9. AP classes have higher GPA possibilities.

Derrick Henry now has a committable offer from Bama according to two of my guys, one spot for him and Kamara......first come first serve. No clue if this has been shared yet, don't feel like filtering through 20 pages. Do you people sleep?

These quotes are in reference to Jonathan Allen:

Lucky:
quote:

Don't get me wrong, I love Foster on film, but this kid probably has better pro-potential. He's a flash guy and they change the game defensively -- one of the reasons LSU is going to be strong next year with those two ends.

Charles:
quote:

Now that you say it, I can see a lot of similarities between Allen and LSU's Sam Montgomery, both physically and as players

Lucky:
quote:

Yes. He definitely reminds me of Montgomery on film.

Go ahead and mark where ESPN, Rivals and Scout has Allen ranked right now, because he's going to be much, much higher by the end of the all-star season -- watch it.

For those that want to know ... Jonathan Allen is Gerry Hamilton's guy -- that is why 247Sports has him rated so high. I believe that Gerry is one of, if not the best evaluator of all the recruiting experts. Go read his description again -- very well written.

we pretty much rotate Cajunsuck is a night owl as am I, and you heard right Henry had an offer and I stated wrong, assuming we wouldn't pursue because of tight spots and him already been committed, but like I said a day or so ago, his recent convo, visit whatever with Coach Burns was eye-opening for the staff and they are very interested, and feel like Bama can easily flip him so we shall see

Is it too late for Burns to make the offer contingent on him bringing Tunsil along with him?

I would think he ends up as a 5* on all of them. He will be the first prototypical Jack LB that Saban has recruited.

Tunsil wants to eat grass.

That would be great. With our need for OT's and Henry trying to recruit Tunsil in the past, we could become a major player if we flip Henry.

Mine didn't even make the top 1000.

They pride themselves on being able to claim 100% college placement, but that's only because they threaten a handful of kids every year and make them apply to junior college in exchange for being allowed to graduate. No I'm not joking. It happened to one of my friends. He had no desire to go to college. Just wanted to work on his family's farm.

Also read some interesting stuff from Dixie. He says the staff likes Matthew Thomas just as much as they like Reuben. Thomas has a spot no matter if Reuben sticks or flips.

Henry + Tunsil vs Kamara would certainly settle the discussion

Yep. We were hammered all the time. I think it has slipped a little bit since I was there. They re zoned the district and took on some kids who arent the most scholastically interested.
