I think "Buttmunch" is the person's level based on number of posts not a username. What did he say?

Blake Alderman of Rivals said Pensacola (FL) Washington DT Darius Paige had committed to Bama, but then retracted his tweet soon after.
He's looking into it further...

Don't get me wrong, I want Nkemdiche like crazy. But he has gotten awfully full of himself on twitter.

Post from a poster on BOL who is a family friend of Tyren Jones:

quote:
Tyren was absolutely dominant in Walton High School's spring game tonight. Think the announcer said he had 180 yards in 1 quarter of action. Walton admittedly has some big shoes to fill from a defense that included the likes of Zach and Darren Blaylock (both going to Kentucky) and several other D1 defenders but they are still a talented bunch with 247 Top 100 DB DJ Smith and others in the line up. WIth that said, Tyren showed why he is one of the top backs (if not the top RB) in the country. He looks the part as a 203-205lb RB who has maintained all of his quickness and burst from last season. He made one run for about 40 yards and my 12 year old son who fancies himself a pretty good football player turns to me and said dad, the average back gets maybe back to the line of scrimmage on that run. While I smiled at the fact that he is astute enough to pick up on that, the boy was absolutely right. Tyren's quickness and vision are rare for a high school RB. On his final TD run which was for about 80 yards on a 3rd and 8 play (Lol...passing down for most teams) he got to the 2nd level and then put a full speed cut on the aforementioned Smith that was just sick. Was sitting there by DJ's father along with Tyren's parents and we all were just in awe. While talking to the boys after the game it was either Smith himself or another kid that said the move was so quick that it was almost as if Tyren vanished into thin air and then re-appeared as he was streaking up the field. [Note: UGA RB coach was in attendance along with several others but likely there to check on Kublanow, Smith and QB Parker McCleod more so than Tyren because it is understood that Tyren is solid to Bama.]
On another note, Tyren plans to camp at Bama several times during this upcoming summer. He wants to get himself fully immersed in all things Bama football. You are getting a damn good RB and a really good kid.
Don't know if BBD made the game but if he did I am sure he will offer his own unique perspective.

They will knock him down a peg or two the first day of practice if he comes in with an attitude.

Last tidbit on Robert Nkemdiche -> Before picking a school, he will first narrow things down a little more. A few wks later, he'll announce

Lutzie made similar comments about some of the incoming recruits to AU.

I've heard rumors about his ego, I guess it's showing itself. Helluva player, but he needs to keep his ego in check.

I Am now psychic and have a vision......
I see him pickin Bama, LSU, and UGA/Clemson (interchangeable maybe both)
Then 2 weeks later he will pick Bama

Meh. Anyone that good is going to have an ego. Probably a really big one. Like I said though, if he comes to Bama and brings that kind of an attitude with him, he's going to get a reality check with the quickness on day one. If he goes somewhere like Texas or Clemson he will be coddled and never realize his potential. Either way, I'm not worried about him.

Not a bad ego, he gets that wrap, but he is the best player in the country

Same school as Funderburk FYI.
His recruitment is apparently picking up, he's been visited by Florida, UT, USCe, and has taken several trips, including Bama. He is a Bama fan, and wants to play somewhere within driving distance from home.
2011 stats:
97 tackles
32 TFL
3 sacks
3 FFs
3 PBUs
