Lucky's comments were exactly right and I think most recruiting junkies knew that already. Rivals is a sham and not what it once was or even close. They're basically ESPN now. Only people that fall for Rivals are people too naive to know any better. Mike Farrell is all that's wrong with Rivals rolled into one person. He has the dominant voice on rankings and that compromises their rankings. For him to proclaim that Rivals wanted to do thorough evals before releasing rankings is hilarious. Since when does Rivals do thorough evals? Also seems that they were releasing their 1st rankings in June just last year. Part of the earlier rankings are demand by the fans but also because the competition is beating them to the punch.
Sorry for the soapbox but I hate Rivals and choose to go to the people that built the reputation Rivals is living off of. They just don't get it and are playing to those fans that just know the name Rivals and don't know that what's left is a shell of what Rivals used to be.
