For someone who claims to be an insider, you have no clue, his coach told many Alabama people he was going to commit Alabama prior to the A-Day game. He was never a UF lock. His coach wants him at Alabama.

Why does being with a "group of recruits" and not being with "teammates" necessarily contradict each other? Regardless, it's already proven he was there. What is the fuss about?

My question is not to you. Let him provide his own response. He quoted Teammates as in recruits who will be a part of the same team as Liner, not his teammates. No fuss bruh just trying to straighten out a few inconsistencies and I was courteous about it. I didn't accuse I only asked questions.
Are you guys serious? I knew what he was inferring when he put teammates in "". Too funny all the knighting going on.

They are trying to figure out whether Dee was telling the truth, he said "my teammates begged me so I took them" or something along those lines, from what I saw no other teammates, Dee wanted to keep it totally secret which is why I said nothing, until it came out, actually took longer than I thought.

No I didn't quote it as the same, I saw him interacting with a number of other prospects not his teammates from his HS that he said was the reason he went

No not really I am just focused on you and your sometimes inconsistent posts. Wasn't trying to be a jerk about just wanting you to explain it. I don't really worry about the Liner situation at all. He will go where he pleases.

OK fair enough. See wasn't hard and didn't require others speaking on your behalf just two posters discussing a couple of posts. No worries thank you for your answering the questions.

Agreed that it was bad wording but come on I've toned down a lot and especially on Dee, I saw him and was surprised, shocked even but I didn't post because GA I was with told me he was trying his best to keep his visit quiet, it eventually leaked on BOL then on here, only then did I post what I knew on the subject. I'm trying to lay low and you're not helping

My question: Why did you choose to keep this secret, and how do you know Dee Liner wanted to also keep it secret? I mean, he's a big-time recruit, you would think that a number of Alabama fans would've seen him at the game and on campus.
Also, there was an article saying that he didn't interact with recruits...and it also said that he loved the environment of A-day, although it doesn't specify that he was actually there.
quote:
"I didn't talk to any Alabama commits really. I just chilled."
Then there's the article that says he wasn't at A-Day, and that he talked Nick Saban for 10-15 minutes and then left the athletic complex and never returned.
quote:
"We wanted to go to Auburn, but with the ACT, it was too far and we couldn't make it. I didn't even go to Alabama's A-Day game.
"I talked with Nick for like 10 or 15 minutes and then didn't return to the complex at all. They hooked me up with a player and I didn't return to the complex. We just went back to the dorm and I stayed in the dorm all night. I didn't even go out."
Just a weird situation.

Circa December 2011 weird?

Not really.
He's playing the game. Just like almost every other big time recruit in the country.

BOL posted

According to his agent, Chapman has been cleared by Dr. Andrews for full activities by the beginning of training camp.

Big time recruit going to the rival of the team he committed to and it was going to be a secret?
Maybe we don't want him cause that doesn't sound so smart. I don't think Dee has a committable offer from Auburn anyway. Am I doing it right Bama guys?

I have said this many times, but other than the fact that Bama is trying to steal Liner from Auburn, I don't see many similarities in the recruitment of either. If Liner wanted to keep his visit to Alabama hush-hush, then it sounds to me like he didn't want to upset Auburn fans. Which, it wouldn't have upset me anyway because they're going to take their visits and should. I'd take my visits to places if I was a big-time recruit. I bet it's fun. You get treated like a king.
Posted on 4/17/12 at 10:43 pm to RockyMtnTigerWDE
Liner was sure as hell trying to keep it low key.
Posted on 4/17/12 at 10:45 pm to CapstoneGrad06
I am positive he was, hence my saying that wasn't so smart considering who he is, that he said he was done making visits, and high profile with 78,000 fans there to boot.
