What throws up a flag about Liner is that he chose our A-Day, the biggest recruiting weekend of the off season over the school he is committed to. And if there were one single visit we could pick for him to take that would be the one. I am not getting my hopes up just yet, but if he is still taking visits in December I am going to start believing this shite. The fact he kept it so close to chest would scare me as an Auburn fan because honestly he is the best recruit they would have since... well besides Yeldon... Michael Dyer.

Cam Newton, Kris Frost, and Christian Westerman were just as highly ranked, if not higher than, Liner. But carry on

Westerman is good forgot about him. And Newton was JUCO. Just speaking about high school. And Kris Frost was good, but not better than Liner.

Was Frost and Westerman good in your Spring game?

I realize I am a bit late to the party, but do you folks think I could join the e-mail group? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Maurice Smith Quotes:
quote:
“We drove, so we got there about 2 in the morning and got up about 8 (am). We first got there and went to my recruiting coach’s office, Coach (Doug) Nussmeier. We just talked- it was my first time seeing him and his first time seeing me, so we had a good time. Then, I was called down by Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt and we went to the defensive office and looked at film. He showed me the style of defense they run. That’s one of first things that caught me and my family’s eye. They run my type of defense. They play man- I’m big on that and that’s what I love to do . That really attracted me.”
quote:
“We went to Coach Saban’s office- that was an honor just to be able to talk to him and shake his hand. He gave me the rundown and it was very smooth. That was one of the highlights. It was amazing to see how his structure applies to the same structure that my family uses. They do basically the same type of system that my parents run with me. If I were to go Alabama, it wouldn’t be like I’m leaving my parents. It was one of my best visits by far.”
quote:
“It was beautiful to walk out there and see that many fans and all that support. After the game, we went to the indoor facility with the players for the picnic. When that was over, Coach Saban and Coach Nussmeier came over and we got to talk some more. Then I got to go see some dorms and talk to the academic coordinators and that was great."
One of Smith’s highlights actually came prior to stepping foot in the football facility.
"We got there and went to a gas station and the people just kind of took me in before they knew who I was. People were asking me if I was from this part of town and then figured out I was a recruit. That was the type of family atmosphere that I’d like to have.”
quote:
“Overall, it was an A+ from that standpoint. That was one of the best visits by far. I don’t have a top group as of now, but if I did I definitely believe that they would be at the top. As far as making a decision, I still believe it will be after my season. It makes it easier for me to know what to watch for during the season.”
Sounds like we got a ways to go, but it also sounds like his visit went VERY well!!

What positions do we think Ardarius Stewart and Deon Johnson will ultimately play? DB or WR?
And didn't we hear some rumblings about us telling Raheem Falkins that maybe he should look around?

Stewart could go either way I think. Johnson will be a WR. I think they like him in the Christian Jones role.
I heard the Falkins rumor too, but he was at A-Day.
