The UF guys I talk to are split on how they percieve Taylor's recruitment. One half thinks the staff will push and the other believes they'll land 2 of the other monster backs in the state or go to GA for a 2nd back. Only thing they are in agreement about is that he is a stud, they want him and he's perfect for the offense Muschamp wants. I think he goes to Bama if they are willing to take him before Tenpenny.

I think Magilla knows more about him.
No more than others. There are 4-5 backs in Florida next cycle, and Taylor supposedly is 4th or 5th. Says more about the amount of talent than Taylor being bad. UF and FSU should have 1st dibs at 1-3/4, leaving Bama UF.
It could change though, I'm not well acquainted with 2013 and the needs of other schools yet.

I think Alabama gets either Kelvin Taylor or Altee Tenpenny. I think it's more likely Taylor, but I would love to have Tenpenny at Alabama.

He's a heavy OSU lean I'm pretty sure. I haven't even begun on 2013 yet, but I think OSU will have an extremely small and talented class

Hackenberg is the best QB Alabama has offered, Johnathan McCrary included. We don't need a dual threat QB to be successful. Hackenberg is the most technically sound QB in the 2013 class. He is a Greg McElroy and AJ McCarron clone.
Altee Tenpenny is the better RB of the two with Taylor. I like Taylor but not at the expense of Tenpenny.

While you're here, do you know anything about Center Lovell Peterson? Last I saw tOSU and Bama were his favorites.
I know his half brother is Trey DePriest, but that's about it...

An analyst who is usually pretty good at who is going where said he is a Buckeye when he gets an offer (he said he's not sure he has an offer as of now but it's obviously early)

Other than Ruben Foster and Robert Nkemdiche, the number one player on Alabama's board is Montravious Adams, DT, out of Georgia. If Bama can sway these three defensive players, then they will have pulled 3 top 10 players in the class of 2013. Bama has one committed and has a huge lead for Nkemdiche. Adams will go down to the wire with Georgia.

Auburn and Clemson will be in there too

Adams is a Marcel Dareus clone. Whoever gets him will definitely be getting the best DT to come out the last 3 years. The kid is a stud.

Whoa there, he may not even be the top DT in 2013...

Post on BOL...Hall of Fame poster (been there since inception of Bama board I guess, lots of posts)

quote:
Talked to my boy who is the OC at a school that was on our schedule in '11. He said he was at Grayson recruiting & spoke to RN's head coach, Mickey Conn, who most of us remember was a walk-on DB on the '92 team.
According to him, Nkemdiche is Capstone-bound but is going to enjoy the recruiting process for a little while. I asked him if he knew what a Nick Stamp was. He said put one on'm.
TIFWIW ...

That worries me a bit ala Cyrus Kouandjio. Worst kept recruiting secret, so he picks someone else to keep the excitement. I know it turned out well, but some don't like their fun being ruined.

We're not going to push for Taylor's commitment, the way I understand it. If he wants to commit, we will take him, but we're not going to try to force him to commit. There's too many top RB's out there that like UF.
Plus, we already have Lane in the fold, who is believed to be our #1 RB on the board.

Name one better? Adams is already a 5 star on 24/7. Watch his film and tell us all who is better. He is extremely explosive with a killer first step. The only recruit in the past two years that compares to him is Tim Jernigan and Adams is better right now.
