Some of those streets need repair.

I will admit, that's cool and the ACCPD would never allow anything like that or Panic in the Streets to happen now-a-days, but as far as local music scene and the bar scene...Athens, Ga FTW.
Posted on 4/9/12 at 2:10 pm to crispyUGA
There really isn't a Athens Oh music scene, so I will give it to A,GA for that. But the bar scene is about the same. Athens Oh has parties like that on the reg though. Halloween is the biggest but every weekend in the spring is a different streetfest where they block off the whole street for the weekend. Plus 10fest or whatever there up to this year is a huge field party with 30 thousand+.
But the thing that puts OH over the edge is the quality, abundance and price of its herb.

It's not like Athens, Ga isn't saturated with pot. Even though it's a southern, state school there are a massive amount of trust-fund-afarians who spend all their parents' money on weed.
Also, Athens still has AthFest which is a big music festival and the Twilight Bike Race (was occurring long, long before the books and/or movies were even written) in which the students and locals turn out in droves for...those are pretty damn cool events.

How challenging have you found the University of Alabama strength and conditioning program to be?
“It’s good… harder than what I have been doing before.”

Do you know who you will be rooming with yet?
“No, I have no idea.”

It’s the final week of spring practices, which for University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban means one thing especially …
It’s time to update his speech material.
Saban’s offseason speaking tour will kick into high gear with two A-Club events, the first on Friday and then his annual Tide Pride speech as part of Saturday’s A-Day celebration, before Crimson Caravan begins its barnstorming tour.
This year’s caravan will feature eight stops beginning with Huntsville on April 17, and will include a visit to Dallas, where the Crimson Tide will open the 2012 season against Michigan on Sept. 1.
Saban is also scheduled to appear at the annual Team Focus fundraising dinner April 23 at the Mobile Convention Center. The event, which has become a regular staple for the coach and his wife Terry as part of their Nick’s Kids Foundation, will also feature Alabama play-by-play announcer Eli Gold and Team Focus co-founders Mike and Mickey Gottfried, along with former Crimson Tide players.
“It’s always good,” Mike Gottfried said. “When we had him when he first came to Alabama, and that was probably one of his first speaking events. That was exciting. Everyone was trying to get to know him.
“Each year there’s just something about Nick and something g about the University of Alabama.”
The event is the primary fund-raiser for Team Focus, which mentors young men without fathers (for information, call 251-635-1515), and usually attracts between 600-1,000 people.
“It’s big for us,” Gottfried said. “They’re so excited about him being there.”
Last month, Saban spoke at a Nashville fundraiser for the Jason Foundation, which promotes awareness and prevention of youth suicide. He’s been affiliated with the organization since 2004.
Saban will also play in the Gene Stallings Golf Tournament for Rise, which serves young children with physical disabilities from birth to five years of age and was not held last year due to the April 27th tornados, along with the Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament in Georgia.
In June, his schedule includes another speaking opportunity with the American Legion’s Boys State, and the annual Nick’s Kids Fund Golf Tournament in Birmingham.
Crimson Caravan schedule
April 17: Huntsville, Von Braun Center?
April 19: Atlanta, Renaissance Atlanta?
April 24: Dallas, Marriott Dallas City Center?
May 1: Mobile, Mobile Convention Center?
May 3: Orlando: Rosen Shingle Creek?
May 8: Birmingham: Cahaba Grand Conference Center?
May 10: Memphis, Memphis Cook Convention Center?
May 15: Florence: Marriott Shoals Hotel?
May 17: Columbus, Ga., Columbus Convention and Trade Center
Each Caravan event begins at 6 p.m., local time and tickets cost $50. For information, contact the Alabama Ticket Office at ticketoffice@ia.ua.edu or call (205) 348-BAMA

Kickers shouldn't even work out. Just kick while the rest of the team lifts.

My subscription to ESPN ended yesterday. Can one of y'all go get the Pollard info and post it in the basketball thread?

Thanks
Did Greg post anything else in their message board about Pollard? I think he hinted at that on twitter
Posted on 4/9/12 at 3:22 pm to Bryant91092
If it's the "forum" area the only thing I can see regarding Pollard is a link to the article

I thought I heard a loud boom in O-Town today, that must've been it it...

If one is going to A-Day, what time would they be able to get into the stadium? I've been to games before, but never A-Day. Might go this year.

I heard that Foster will be too old to play in Alabama next year.
I always got to a day right at kickoff, but was fine with sitting in the upper deck. Only time I have ever sat up there.
