I was at the game.... I didn't know who Lawson was at the time and he did nothing in the game to make me notice him. Nothing at all.
A 5 star in high school a NON-factor? I've been attending high school games for 30 years. 1st time I've seen a 5 star be virtually invisible.
Walton was 6-4 in 2009 and 7-4 in 2010. One "new" player converted them to a 14-0 team in 2011 before losing the State Championship Game. Elite players impact games at the high school level. Without that player, Walton would have been 6-4 again in 2011.

Wouldn't that game have been back when he was 5'11 211 pounds or had he gained some size?

Its over now. Ill admit though Lawson was running right past all the oline. He seems small though. Very impressed with him. Surprised by Grant Hill didnt know he was that good.

They also had a new QB. Somebody should look into recruiting him.

I think we'll all take their word for it. Don't give up your day job, buddy. He's clearly one of the best players in the 2013 recruiting class.

There is such a thing as a camp warrior. I have no idea if Lawson is one or not, but some prospects are studs at camps and meh in actual games.

Hill has been blowing up lately, people didn't believe he was a technical as he was. They thought he was just a nasty runblocker, but he's actually flashed some good footwork. He dropped some bad weight, and it's made him better.
I've been a supporter of him at RT for a while, but if he keeps showing out, he might get a shot on the left side. Can't say he doesn't have the size for it, he's huge. And he's gonna put on more muscle, which could help him even more.

Todd Grantham agrees with you.

The thing about Lawson is that he never goes inside. If he gets a inside move he will be hard to stop. In college the QB should or will just step up.

But then again, dyring Carl Lawson's Junior year, he had 80 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 15 sacks. For comparison, Robert Nkemdiche had 78 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, and 18 sacks. There isn't much of a difference in those stats.
I don't really look too much into high-school stats anyways, unless they just blow my mind.
