Not that I don't hope Ole Miss lands the kid, even if we are a bridesmaid, but one of two things usually happens in an instance like this.
1. They're extra-motivated to prove LSU, Bama, etc wrong for passing on them.
2. They're disappointed that they didn't get where they want and lose motivation.
I'll leave it to the insiders who know more about him personally if they want to comment on that.

What made Sims offer commitable all of a sudden?

Who is to say his offer was ever not commitable? Seems like everybody just assumed that since he didn't commit to Bama immediately his offer wasn't commitable. Maybe he just wanted to wait and have his day. If it wasn't commitable I am sure when Lane chose Florida it became commitable. I mean in all seriousness who else is really out there as far as a WR that is high on Bama. Sims is probably just as good or better than anyone else that is really considering Bama.

If you were a WR recruit and choice was Alabama or Ole Miss...I would say that should be a easy choice...he’s not a OLineman, his brother doesn’t already play on the team, and he’s not from Mississippi...Who will be the guy throwing him the ball at ole miss? probably some juco kid or a ginger (buchanan)...bama has 4/5 star Cooper Bateman, Alec Morris, Luke Del Rio...and verbal commits from 2014 5* David Cornwell and 2015 5* Ricky Towns...if this kid had any sense this would be an easy choice...a WR is only as good as his QB.
