Actually he's nothing like Justin Fields. He rushed for negative 82 yards last season. He's a pure pocket passer that is highly sought because he can make every throw. I'd like to see a little more on-field production to be honest ( Link to Stats for His Good, Not Great 2022 Season ), but the guys following the shorts and t-shirt circuit absolutely drool over his arm.

Fields was a dual threat in the truest sense of the word.

I guess the question now is, how long will he stay before he transfers? Georgia has a lot of young, talented QBs that also think they're the greatest thing since slice bread, so if he's there for two years I'll be shocked!

Kirby and UGA are pulling a Tua....Raiola will transfer to an Atlanta school. More than likely Grayson.

That's right. My bad.
Rumor is they wanted him to go Parkview to play pass and catch with Mike Matthews. Did that fall through?

Parkview was looked at but the head coach said he’d have to share reps with the current qb. They looked at several schools. All this is message board talk though.

The message board talk is correct.

Like Smelvin said, it sounds like Gainesville might be the landing spot now.

I have close family in Gwinnett 7A athletics.
As you know I give UGA and Kirby hell as I have family in Monroe and Social Circle and been going to Athens since the 70's. Sure do miss the tracks! REM was a house band playing in the 80's when my cousins were in Athens and I was at Auburn.
In all seriousness Hairy Dawg has it dialed in!

Official that Raiola has enrolled at Buford for the Fall.

If they don’t win state (again) then something went horribly wrong.

Is it true this kid has played at a different school each of his four years in high school?

Saw a rumor he was facing a 5 game suspension due to transferring from Chandler to Pinnacle out in Arizona.

This will be his 3rd school in 4 years, yes (4th he has enrolled at but he never actually played at Pinnacle).

- Left AZ during 2020 to play in Texas because of COVID.
- Went back to AZ in 2021 post COVID.
- Transferred to Pinnacle from Chandler for better competition but would have had to sit for 5 games.
- Transferring to Buford for better competition and to be closer to Athens (family had planned to move to whatever state he went to college in to begin with)

They should do a case study on Raiola.

He's a perfect example of how you look at a kid when he's committed to your school vs when he goes to one of your biggest "national" rivals.

When he was committed to OSU, he could do no wrong. His numbers dipped a bit last year but he was in a new school so no biggie etc. If he was still committed I bet the fans would all be saying "great now he can recruit for us in GA"

When he decommitted, it was "out of nowhere" and he/his dad wanted influence on who would be OC after Kevin Wilson left OSU and when OSU said no he left. Then he committed to UGA and is transferring to a school that has 2 of OSU's biggest recruits so now he's a walking red flag as he will be at his 3rd/4th high school in 3 years.

It is of course some sour grapes from OSU fans, but also maybe some legitimate stuff. Like 60% of the HS football team he was at last year transferred out, so why would he not transfer out? Something obviously happened at the school IMO

Just funny to look at it from both sides or try to at least.

Read Tyler’s response a few posts up. Normally I would agree with you but not in this case.
