This is dumb, almost the entire staff stayed in tact all year, not some outsider doing that.

Yeah an interim HC signing a top 5 class isn't impressive at all. You're an idiot.

The narrative now is that he can recruit, he just cant coach. I guess we'll see how that changes next season.

Meh. Les would have had a much better class

Les had the 13th ranked class his first year at LSU.

Is Coach O still the interim HC?

An interim coach didn't sign a top 5 class. A head coach who was hired after serving as an interim coach did. And he wasn't the first head coach to do such at a new job, nor is he a rookie head coach. It's a great class, but I can't imagine any Tigahs cutting Da Coach O any slack for NOT signing a top ten class, even though it's his first year. LSU did what they, and we, expected them to do. Congrats

Now? That has been the narrative with Coach O for a decade.

He was the interim HC for a couple months and was named HC after the season was over. I'm sure you already knew that though.

I'm skeptical but the man has done pretty well since ole miss. Surrounded himself with great coordinators and position coaches and recruits his arse off. Can't ask for much more. Plus, unlike some, he stopped drinking years ago.

I guess all those recruiting experts that wrote articles about just how impressive it was that Coach O has signed a top 5 class in his first year is just blowing smoke. It's impressive as hell. I know it, you know it, and the country knows it. But since we're on an SEC board no one will give him any credit because that's just blasphemy.

So if it was true in the past, that's not still the case today, as in now?

I give Ed O credit... So far he's earning his pay. Y'all have every reason to be happy with him.

Huh? It's widely known O was an alcoholic and didn't turn his life around until he got on the wagon

He did this in the midst of a major coaching change.

The HC and OC were out.

He put together a top 10 class (maybe top 5) with our in-state talent getting picked like low bearing fruit.

And now WE FINALLY HAVE THE COACHES TO COACH THEM UP
