He’s a POS. Let him rot in prison!

No 2nd chances when your dumb arse decisions take an innocent life.

Except reality says otherwise. A similar situation happened a few days ago in Augusta Ga, dude high AF, speeding hits a tractor trailer killing his girlfriend and best friend. He gets a DUI and maybe vehicular manslaughter charges. He lacks the resources to defend himself as much as Ruggs and will likely do some time but nobody is dusting off the pitchforks or watch YouTube videos on how to lynch someone. Dude will get his day in court and in a news cycle nobody will care.

But now we have video of him sober and speeding like a maniac just bc he thought it was funny to scare his gf.

He was still an accident waiting to happen even when sober, all the alcohol did was slow his reaction time

I can't imagine people who are saying things like he's only human and humans make mistakes, so I don't hate him, would be singing that tune if he had killed their daughter or wife or close friend. I hope he gets the maximum penalty.

Is there? I haven't seen a single bit of that. He's a dumbass and deserves anything he gets.

There’s this weird narrative that Alabama fans are all rushing to defend Riggs… and I haven’t seen a single person do that.

Got accused of it myself when I expressed hope he was okay when the only news on it was “Henry Ruggs was in a car accident” and that was the only news that was out. Didn’t take much for people to believe it either. People want to believe the worst of others who aren’t in their tribe.

Well, he is a human, and he made a horrible mistake, and hate is a very strong word, so I don't know why that would be unimaginable to anyone. Obviously if you were personally affected, emotions would be much different. No one in this thread or elsewhere that I've seen has hoped for light or preferential punishment for him.

We have all glanced at our phone while driving Which is a mistake. There is a difference between a mistake and what he did. I’m getting tired of these press agents describing acts such as murder, rape or this, or beating a woman as a mistake, blah blah blah, everyone makes mistakes. It’s BS, mistakes are minor and don’t destroy lives or end them. I feel bad for him too because he is beyond ignorant and he brought this all on himself. Self Accountability !!!!! He did this and made it happen, it didn’t happen upon him, there is a big difference.

What Ruggs did is moronically stupid and dangerous to society around him. Going 156mph, he was traveling at 110mph over that streets speed limit when he made impact. 110mph over!

The poor young woman was burned alive. Rescuers attempted to get her out but flames pushed them away and prevented her being saved. They could hear her screams as she was burned alive through the smoke. Simply horrific.

Put him in a car and ram him with another vehicle at 150 mph and I still wouldn’t have sympathy for him.

Another person who thinks a mistake means you aren't responsible for the consequences for some reason.

That is NOT the case. You are 100% responsible for your mistakes.

Did you even read what I wrote ?

Self Accountability for ones actions was included in my message. The first part of my message was specifically spewing my distaste for those who excuse everything as a mistake. Then I stressed he deserves what he gets and more because he caused this , he is not a victim of circumstance….he is an ignorant danger to society.

Read messages through then comprehend before commenting. Thank you

When did mistakes become excused? The consequences still exist.

The word mistake has meaning. It's not my fault you used it incorrectly, and your mistake is not a reflection on my ability to comprehend.

Apparently comprehension is an issue with you as I was clearly voicing my disgust with those that try to label everything a mistake and minimize those horrific actions ….. I’m not sure what your deal is but my rant and your comments are in line …..Everyone is accountable and must face the consequences their actions result in

Clearly comprehension must be the issue, read , read and use critical or in this case any form of thinking before you comment, cause clearly based on your replies we are on same side which is what I am puzzled by as you don’t seem to understand that
