You failed to mention Bo took YSU to the 2017 FCS National Championship Game...

Need to get that mofo out of Kentucky recruiting ground.

I really don't know much about his tenure at Youngstown St, but I am very familiar with his time as HC at Nebraska. The dude did a very good job for the Huskers. He consistently brought that program to a record they should be thrilled with, and those teams were all led by defense. What's a program in a similar circumstance? Imagine Arkansas getting at least 9 wins for 7 straight seasons, that coach would be praised as the second coming. I dunno why Bo doesn't get praise, I guess he has a bad attitude and media didn't like him.
As for Youngstown, I dont know, it looks like he got in there and almost won a championship his 2nd year. probably lost some steam after that loss and quit trying so hard. Got happy living his life, cashing his checks, coasting, and having mediocre seasons. The 100 hour weeks turned into 40 hour weeks. Probably didn't recruit as hard.
Obviously, these are pure guesses with no fact to back them up. But I can understand how it could get to that point.
Am I worried that the fire is lost and he will get comfortable with his new $2M salary? Sure, it's a concern. But, I think it's more likely that he gets back to his old self in this new coordinator position, Back in big time football for the reigning national champs.

So, let me try to redeem things: 1. I realize that Bo's record as head coach at Youngstown State in no way whatsoever reflects on the job he'll do as a DC at LSU. After all, Steele sucked as a head coach, and has been successful as a DC. So that's pretty much proof that Bo will too. Again: there no correlation whatsoever between success as a head coach and success as a DC. 2. With that behind us, let's have a football discussion. Why is it, do you think, that Bo failed at Youngstown State? Was he unable to recruit talent? Did he have a great defense, but a terrible offense? What was it?
My goodness dude get a life. You spent all of this time and this stupid long arse post about another team getting a new DC? I feel for your family.

Haven't you been reading this thread? What he does as a head coach has no bearing whatsoever on how he'll do as a DC. Clearly, then, it makes no difference at all that he took YSU to the championship game.

In Louisiana, you're too stupid to recognize sarcasm.

He made it the FCS championship game one year. He was modestly successful at Nebraska and they have yet to achieve better results than they had with him. Regardless, it doesn't matter. At LSU he has facilities, resources, assistants and talent to be an outstanding coordinator. He's going to bring a more aggressive style of play for certain.
I would advise Jimbo's nephew to avoid Bo after any game though.

What is it with LSU and their hard-on for fake tough guy coaches? Bo is a pussy, just like Ed.

I have no freaking clue as I didn’t follow his tenure there, I don’t think I ever saw a down his teams played.
What Orgeron, Miles, Chavis and maybe even Pellini’s careers have taught us though is that WHERE you coach has a lot to do how well you do.

You realize he’s literally been our DC already once before, right? And a wildly successful one at that?
I know y’all were in the middle of the Fran era so I’d forgive you if you weren’t that plugged into college football at the time.

Pointing to how guys did as head coaches when they are being hired to be coordinators makes absolutely no sense at all.
Why do people always do this? There is almost zero correlation between the two things.

The thing is A&M is perpetually stuck in shite football while LSU is winning conference and national titles

A&M has more conference titles than LSU, though yall do have a 4-3 advantage in nattys.

You have one. 80 years ago.
You will never see it happen.
