The simple fact of the matter is that Nick Saban is old as dirt, and the game has passed him by. Nick is from another era of football, and mentally he’s still there. His schemes, his philosophies, everything he knows and believes about football is out of date.
But Saban has self awareness that other people lack, he’s smart enough to realize that he doesn’t have it in him to coach a modern defense anymore. That’s why, in all his wisdom, Nick brought in some fresh young blood, in Peter Golding. Someone who knows the modern game, and could provide insight to help guide the old man through the blind spots he’s developed with age
And after everything Nicholas W Saban has done for Bama and it’s toothless greasy fans, you dumb bunch of rednecks dared to question HIM???
You ungrateful bunch of sacks of shite will RUE this day when Saban listens to your pleas for an “experienced veteran” DC, who just ends up being old and out of touch too
Saban will not survive caving to fan pressure like this. Y’all have caused him to lose his love for the game, and the next DC will drive him to an early retirement

I know I am not gonna miss watching one of the best pass rushers drop 8 yards deep into coverage on 3rd and 9. 
Or watching a blitz that finally develops after the quarterback has thrown the ball...while standing in the pocket... for 18 seconds...when he had multiple times to take off and run for 20 yards. Yea not gonna miss that.
