Whether or not he gave DeBoer an ultimatum of “promote me or I’m gone” is pure speculation, but if he did do that not even 12 hours into the new HC’s tenure then he can take that sense of entitlement and get fricked

Sounds like the perfect situation. I'd take that over a worn out Saban pacing the sidelines while daydreaming about enjoying life away from football. Let Saban stay engaged and available for advice while Saban is able to rest, recover and regain the love of the game.
