nah.

The more appropriate question would be: "You SEC Rant members getting tired of GermantownTiger starting stupid threads?"

aranda is the best DC in the SEC because his "D" gave up the fewest TDs in college last year.

That was after everyone on here said the LSU defense would take a step back heading into last season. New scheme. It will take time to learn. Doesn't have personnel to run his 3-4. Lost too many good players.

Did you even watch that game? They literally didn't change anything from what they've done all year. Just ran it up the gut and Nebraska didn't stop it.

So you know all the particulars of Bill Lynch's coaching style at Indiana in the late 2000s? Makes sense.

I don't. But as you pointed out, that was in the 2000s. I think he's learned a lot since then.

Also - he had a senior QB, a senior RB, and returned 4 offensive linemen. He had a good year coaching, but he also had a pretty nice setup.

He's now walking in with a senior QB, a 1st round RB, and 4 returning offensive linemen. He undeniably has a better setup

It was pretty widely reported that going into the Big 10 championship (7-5) Canada hadn't let loose his offense. He finally did as underdogs against Nebraska and ended up scoring 70 on them.

He was at Wisconsin for 1 of the 14 years he was an OC.

Also, they then followed up that game by scoring 14 points against Stanford and had 300 yards of total offense in the Rose Bowl.

Sure - but you hired him to be the OC for more than 1 year.

I think Canada is probably an above average OC, maybe even very good, but his 1 really good season at Pitt doesn't automatically make him a great coordinator. He has a mixed bag of results over his career.

Wasn't this also said when LSU hired Cameron before he called a game in Baton Rouge?

Why yes it was....every new toy they get is the best until it isn't.

It helps when you play three less games than Alabama.

So you use one stat to say someone is the best. I'm starting to think you're OKtiger.

Alabama and Florida both ranked ahead of LSU in total defense. Alabama ranked ahead of them in scoring defense. I mean these are pretty easily accessible stats

Aranda is da best doe because LSU

Look man...LSU has the best OC, DC and DL to HC in the SEC. I'm sick of this discussion.
