Not justifying it, but Hunt is not a coach. Gruden has to command the respect of his players, and can't do that anymore

Our president called a guy fat and old, a young girl a lying dog faced pony soldier, told a factory worker he was full of shite... not to mention "racial jungle" and all the other BS over the years.

But he gets to keep his job and Gruden doesn't?

Let me rephrase this, an NFL coach can’t call the NFL commissioner a phaggot and expect to keep coaching not to mention attacking gay players among other things. Nobody is actually saying players like Hunt or Rice should still be playing but to pretend like Gruden is innocent or did nothing wrong is just throwing a fit

Gruden didn't attack gay players. He attacked the idea of Goodell "encouraging" the Rams to draft a local prospect with a UDFA grade solely because he's gay, and he's right. Michael Sam was drafted over players with higher draft grades solely because of his sexual preference.

Anyone who can't see Gruden's point here is being willfully ignorant.

That's because there's really no basis to this outrage other than a bunch kicked dogs hollering.

Is this what the more sports board is for?

No he wasn't.... it was chalked up as a redshirt year. He did loose anything.

But now it is in the public and he represents the Raiders and therefore the NFL. If you post shite like that on Facebook or social media the there’s always a chance you can get canned.

Chalk it up how you like, but he wasn’t part of the team that year.

No he wasn't but redshirting and being suspended are different. But you see it how you want.

Yes, redshirt and being suspended from the team are different. That’s the point?

Okay let's compare what other pro sports HC's say.

Greg Popovich compares Columbus Day to honoring Hitler.
LINK

And guess what happens to him?

Absolutely nothing and will probably get slaps on the back from the woke team at ESPN

And never forget the infamous "poor kids are just as smart as white kids" or "Barrack Obama is the first bright and articulate black man...".

I don't care about Gruden but the hypocrisy of some here is astounding when it comes to holding people accountable.

This is so silly. One has nothing to do with the other. Trying to justify racism this way is just wrong.

I must admit to being confused.

How is comparing an objectively horrible human being with another objectively horrible human being something that warrants punishment?

The same woke team that he was an employee of for years?

NFL background checks are very thorough even for coaches so best believe people knew and chose to conceal the emails.

This board loves to put things into a box from political point of views, yet we're seen countless athletes and coaches get second chances but also get dismissed based on what they can provide talent wise.

If Gruden was winning games and making into playoffs each year this would be a nothing burger.

Oh yeah, about the Hunt kick - has anyone seen the video? That kick had little to no ill will behind it. In retrospect, he probably shouldn’t haven’t been cut from the Chiefs.

Well, that's kind of your M.O. so not surprising

I was responding to post that said comparing a HC's behavior to a player's behavior was stupid. So I gave him an example comparing a HC to another HC...try to keep up slick.

BTW,never once did I say Popovich should be fired or punished.
