I dont think it does. I just think we as a society have to give companies proof that we don't care what less than 1% of our population thinks and we will continue to buy their products regardless of what a few loud people think.

But my main issue is that I think its named incorrectly, I don't believe its a culture or cultural issue. "Cancelling" exists, I dont think there is a culture of it. And sometimes people deserve to be canceled, but I think the bar should be much higher.

This. Coaches/Leaders are held to a higher standard. Gruden's credibility is now shot with 75% of the players he has to lead and demand respect from. That is impossible when they know how he feels about them

Well then the players should be scrutinized as well. They welcome genuinely awful people into the lockerrooms with open arms as long as they are good at football

who is saying Gruden is innocent? Seems to like its well known that he did type these things in a email.

So you have never once said dang look at the lips on that guy or look at the ears on that dude?

national ESPN radio was on in my truck when I got in this morning and the garbage that those dudes are spewing on national radio is trash.

If you want to say that every person that jokes about the size of someone's lips or similar should be fired by the NFL well then lets get to firing.

The way I see it is Gruden (being a white guy) is not allowed to joke about Smith's lips (a black guy). If Gruden's comments were about a white guys lips would he be in this situation?

Let me rephrase this, an NFL coach can’t call the NFL commissioner a phaggot and expect to keep coaching not to mention attacking gay players among other things. Nobody is actually saying players like Hunt or Rice should still be playing but to pretend like Gruden is innocent or did nothing wrong is just throwing a fit

This. People giving these "you have to choose X or Y" arguments is lazy. We can say both are bad, we aren't forced at gunpoint to choose

Hunt, Hill, Rice, etc should not be in the league.

I mean I get where this board leans, but I never hear Big Ben's name brought up as an example. It's people that have done far less and are not in the league because their talent could not out weigh their actions. Nope defending anyone crimes... talented people no matter the color of their skin will get second chances.

Daniel Tosh:
"No one should be alone in a bathroom with Big Ben." (Referring to having a Ben Roethlisberger fathead)

"Ben Roethlisberger is Tim Tebow minus Jesus."

i think the remarks about maurice would've blown over, tasteless not racist.

it's all the f----t and queer remarks that did gruden in, though i thought it was funny as hell.

more like gay privilege in this case.

The simple fact of the matter is that, no matter how good a coach you are, the players are the stars - and stars get preferential treatment. Doesn't matter if you're black, white, whatever... if you're rich and/or famous, the rules don't apply the same way to you.

I also imagine that there's likely a "no snitching" unspoken rule, considering how many of them do dumb and heinous shite.

I hate liberals. Urban Meyer was on video molesting a drunk girl and no one cares. But Gruden used words, not even harsh words and he has committed a crime against humanity.

It comes from Postmodernism and now Critical Theory.

Wacko professors claimed that the only truth exists in language and that mean words are literally violence to people they claim are oppressed.

It’s the kind of idea that’s so stupid it could only come out of a college English department, but you see applied critical theory every day now so it’s good to understand it.

Gruden will never be hired by an NFL team again and it is extremely doubtful by a D1 college team. His career is over
