Yes. I enjoy watching games that mean something.

Yes, expand it to 12 or 16 teams and eliminate all these other meaningless bowl games.

Bama can't go 15-0, so there's no way they'll go for it.

If it stays the way it is all the off bowls will slowly die. And that may be a good thing. Attendance at many of these games is dismal. They are ESPN filler games just like Australian rules football used to be.

This is spot on. You make teams go through a gauntlet of 3-4 weeks in a row of good teams, more upsets and quality games would take place. Give teams a month to get healthy and prepare and you get the results we have seen over and over. The best teams don’t win championships in pro sports or even other college sports at the rate they do in college football because of this.

Yes, it's LSU fault for not being good right now! That doesn't mean in 2 years or so LSU and other teams will start winning due to hiring a new HC and/or recruiting got much better. That is likely about to happened in about 2 or 3 years from now.

Yes. IDGAS about records or opinions. There should be 8 Divisions. The teams that come from each division should play. It’s not that hard nor disrespectful to other teams. The best will win.

The bowl system is broken and the only way to keep elite players interested enough to actually play is expansion. That's it in a nutshell. More teams want in so it's going to happen. Making a thousand threads and voting over and over doesn't matter.
Teams want in and we also will be seeing a lot more of G5 teams on the playoff landscape. Like NILs and the magic portal, this is what they want college football to be.

That is new right now! So, give it time to make it work. Look at Mizzou! They got a very good class this year and that was just the beginning. Give it a couple more of that and boom should be much better team in 2 years from now. LSU just hired a new HC and some have made changes and they are likely to be good. USC? might be good in a couple of years. Give it time to get this gel with NIL and that will look different with OU and Texas in SEC.

I'm a hard yes - only four teams, out of 130, seems too little. I'd be for eight. I'd also be for eliminating the Division II game that's currently allowed.
Other than that - the system is fine as is. No automatic bid for any conference champion. Fill the unbelievably long break between conference championships and the current first round with the new first round. Season wouldn't be any longer on the calendar - and those teams would still have two weeks or so to rest up prior to playing again.

No, just give Bama the title every year and be done with it until Saban retires

Yes. Parody is better for college football.

The only way for Bama to not play in every championship is to make more hurdles for them. So I vote to expand.
The reality is with transfer portal, NIL, etc it won’t really matter until Saban retires. He has sucked all the life out of college football. Good of course for the Alabama fan base.

Drop it back to 11 game season… 8 conferences, 96 teams, 16 divisions = 16 team playoff. After conference championships, seed the champs. If you didn’t win your division, go to a bowl game. Don’t tell me yer team didn’t have a chance.

I love how the argument is no longer about trying to crown a true national champion and is now changed to creating a gauntlet so there can be “parity.”

Yes
Might as well have a couple more weeks of games that mean something instead of worthless bowl games with the best players sitting out.

I think we see less opt outs if you moved it to 8 teams and less bitching from the 5-8 seeds
