I vote no. Since the playoffs started, these semi games and even Natty games are mostly lopsided. Stay at four. What say you? Also, Happy New Years.
Yes, more meaningful games = more entertainment as a fan of CFB. Nothing will eliminate blowouts

I can’t imagine the SEC or any other conference for that matter eliminating conference championship games. The money is too big.

Did FSU cheat the last time Auburn was there?

No.
We get two teams who deserve to be in it.
One who has an outside chance.
One who has no right to be there.
We always find out which teams fit these after the semifinals.

Yes, i think you go to a 6 team playoff. you could work something out perhaps giving #1 and #2 a first round bye.

I think these games play out way differently with 1 week to prepare instead of 3 to 4

I agree blowouts will continue BUT I will turn off. Not good for advertisers.

It should have been done decades ago.

Maybe but we won't know and it doesn't matter since all teams get the same amount of time to prepare.

To put it another way, the BCS would have put the wrong teams in the final 5 of the last 8 years. Expansion is the only thing that solved that.
The idea that going from 4 to 8 is some kind of game breaking decision is ludicrous.
2 teams this year is Bama vs Michigan.

Yes, sometimes 2 loss teams who don’t get in are actually better than undefeated teams that feasted on cupcakes. Ohio state would have put up a better fight than any of these teams but because only 4 can get in the better team is watching

Yes. 4 team playoff has made bowl season meaningless. Up it to 16 teams. Can’t get more boring than these blowouts in the semis every year.

The same posters who’s saying no will be saying how awesome it is when a 7 knocks off a 2

Back to 1980s bowl format.

These lopsided games are precisely WHY we need to go to 8 teams, it actually puts the best teams out there up against eachother in the semi and final. There's at least one or two teams out of the remaining top 8 that would've put up a better fight today than the two we got, couldn't be any worse.
Plus the games between 2-8 or 3-8 would be exciting, they wouldn't all be lopsided drubbings like the current setup and there would be some great matchups leading up to the final.
These lopsided affairs are precisely WHY we need an 8 team playoff

NO.
If you think this is ugly, imagine 1 vs 8 , 2 vs 7 etc

If we must , 6 is enough

Sometimes 2 loss teams get hot at the end of the year. Ohio State would have been a better matchup in regards to talent.
