The Truth acknowledges and agrees that this is yet another pathetic troll attempt. However, The Truth points out that these newcomers are absolutely clueless as to the intricacies of SEC fandom. The Truth states that most SEC fans could accurately predict who cheers for who, but these lame new teams haven't figured it out yet, like a kid on a short bus.

I'm actually Gen-X. Closer to the Millenials than the Boomers.

The reality is a lot of football comes back to talent. The reason Texas will have a tough game against Clemson is due to them being 5th in the nation in the talent composite. That means they have the talent to challenge Texas (who's 4th) even though they aren't consistently good. Indiana (57th in the talent composite) doesn't.

Alabama is 1st in the talent composite. That means that even though their QB is stupid sometimes and their coaches make bad decisions sometimes, they have the talent to win 4 straight games to win a national title.

SMU, Indiana, Boise State, Arizona State... they don't. They're all below 50% on the blue chip ratio. They can win one game... MAYBE 2. But not 3 or 4 that they need to win.

Tennessee is also on the wrong side of that 50% blue chip ratio (but just barely).

Alabama has 67 blue chip players out of 82 scholarship players. 81.7% blue chip ratio. That's not a team you want to have to face in the first round of the playoff, not if you want a great chance of advancing.

What makes the SEC tough is that currently there are 8 teams above 50% on the blue chip ratio.

There are only 15 teams nationally that hit that mark... and 8 of them are in one conference.

I don't have a big preference between the two but I like Sark and dislike Dabo. Clemson got in by the skin of their teeth. Go ahead and destroy Clemson. I want to see Dabo crying after the game.

Definitely a down year. Thus Texas playing in the SECCG.

Overrated in general? Hard to argue that regardless of the period used.

4 of the last 5 college football championships.
6 of the last 10 college football championships.
10 of the last 15 college football championships.
13 of the last 20 college football championships.
15 of the 26 college football championships since the BCS started.

You're welcome for saving your arse from a dieing conference. Now show a little respect and appreciation.

Way to get on board.

I always root for my SEC brothers because we are family.

Just like brothers we slap each other around and pick on each other but outsiders aren't allowed that privilege.

Go Texas.

Do us proud.

Nah. Championships from a few different teams.

SEC has mostly junk teams.

Big 12 went 3-1 versus SEC in 2023.

BTW, you should spell 'dieing' the correct way...dying.

Get smarter!

In a scene straight out of an 80s teen comedy, the "cool guy" Truth steps between the suspenders-wearing Aggie and the Longhorn bully. "Why don't you leave him alone?" he asks with no hesitation. The Truty dusts off the Aggie nerd as the Longhorn retreats - "he won't hurt you anymore".

The B12 isn't full of junk teams in your mind i suppose.

ACC filled with powerhouses.

B1G isn't 6 good programs and 12 sissies.

You could not sound dumber if you tried.

Troll better.

Brand new conference members won the B1G and Big 12. The second best conference was always the PAC12 and they proved it this year by winning the Big12 and B1G.

I can't pull for Clemson over any SEC team.
Texas should mop the floor with Clemson just like Georgia did.

Since the BCS started, 6 teams (all SEC OGs) have won the national championship with 4 different teams winning mutiples and a 5th playing for multiples.

Show me the other conference with the overall numbers or the depth of the SEC.
