Y'all understand that almost all Big12 schools put the visitors bands in the upper deck?

Doesn't mean its a good rule. I hope Alabama puts them in the middle of an upperdeck next year making it even harder to move around.

Alabama is 100% going to take an upper-decker in Austin.

Big 12 sucks at football

No surprise they suck at this too

What is the excuse for the penalty of horns down. Don’t see other Big 12 schools doing crap like that.

And you understand that the Twinkle Twelve has been a house of cards on the brink of collapse for a decade or more?

Guess not.

Yeah, they did mention they all do it. I just think it's goofy. I don't think I've ever been to a game with the band in the upper deck, at least that I can remember.

I feel like we did this to Miss State in 2008 maybe. I have no idea why but I remember the band being in the upper-north end zone (could have been someone else)

I believe they decided to bring their entire band because it's such a close trip. I think Alabama also did this in Starkville one year and was in the upper deck. Because of that we both decided to put them in the upper deck instead of taking the entire lower level seating for the band.

The usual SEC practice is enough lower bowl tickets for the opposing teams travel band and 1,000 or so fans and everyone else split up in 2-3 upper deck sections.

No, Not that game, I remember sitting near the band.

I remember that game being a lot closer than it should have been at halftime.

I think it was the "We Believe" game. 2012 maybe? Might have been 2010. One of those 2.

ETA: Actually looked it up, band was in the upper deck in 2010, but "We Believe" game was 2012

The SEC madates that visiting fans receive either 5 or 10 percent of their tickets HAVE to be in the lower bowl and the band is included in that number. So if its 5 percent at BDS, there are 5000 seats alloted to the visitor in the lower bowl.

The SEC also mandates that if you play at Vandy you simply just take the stadium over as you please.

Aggie band was always in first deck down by end zone on A&M side.

You miss the fricking point. Texas isn't an SEC school right now. It's a Big 12 school. Hence, the explanation for why Alabama's band must sit there.

The end.

They did not do this when A&M was in the Big 12. Big 12 schools treating each other like shite might explain why the conference is going to shite.

Absolutely. Aggie Band was always in lower deck. Of course Texass band was always in lower deck at Kyle field.

Texass can get away with upper deck bullshite with TCU, Kansas, etc...
