Texas has historically had every built-in advantage imaginable. Can’t think of anyone who wastes as much exposure, talent, and money.
I keep hearing about all these built-in advantages of the past but what were they? I can see it now in the NIL era, but I think this crap was spouted way too much in the past. They didn't have anymore advantage than any other blue blood, and in many ways had a lot going against them because of all the exposure. You think if anyone back before NIL found out Texas was cheating in a big way in recruiting they wouldn't have reported them? I know dang well A&M, OU, or Nebraska would have. They would have relished the opportunity.. They are the most hated team in College Football, or at least in the top 3...Where's the advantage? They couldn't get away with the same crap in recruiting other schools did for a very long time.
Besides that they have a huge arse endowment they are more worried about losing to other schools in Texas than having a championship football team every year. They don't want any negative publicity surrounding the sports teams; especially, the football team, to give the Texas government reasons to take away endowment money.
They still had to compete with many other schools for recruits in Texas, it's not like every awesome football player that plays in the state of Texas in high schools automatically ends up at UT. Many of them don't want to play there.

I think Texas can be legitimate if the Oline and Arch keep growing/ improving. The OU game was a big step, but still cautiously optimistic. If they lost Wisner to injury right now, they'd be hosed and back to having no running game. It's too hard to predict how well this season will go for them on Offense, but the Defense is getting really good.

Isn't Bevo a bull with his manhood removed? Much like most of the UTrans fans.

Yeah, you’ve got got a point about Bevo, ha… Will give old school aggy credit for knowing their cattle terms…
Not sure that Gen X aggy who purchase their 4x4s to negotiate the asphalt of suburban Dallas knows as much about livestock…

We are one of the largest agricultural universities and one of the leading agricultural research universities in the world.
Pretty sure there are more Aggies than UTrans fans that know what a "steer" is.

Texas could lose to UK Saturday, and I wouldn't be shocked.

I would be surprised. I laugh at all the people upvoting the guy who said we beat the worst team in the league when we beat Florida. Kentucky is pitifully horrible.

Texas fans all uppity again after beating up on what now looks to be a highly overrated Sooners team that needed the refs to beat Auburn at home. Still lots to prove and zero margin for error.

I agree that they’re a bit too full of themselves after squashing an OU team that threw three interceptions and gave up 21 points to Auburn, but I think they’re a top-8 SEC team.
I do think that the Longhorn fans who genuinely think the Longhorns are going to win out are delusional, though.
