Well done, that was quick

Every time an SEC defense chips a Tejas QB, they don't return to the game.

Ewers will likely be gone to the NFL as soon as he's eligible. That means he'll play this year and next, which gives Arch 1 season to sit and he'll start as a redshirt freshman. We have it all worked out. Lol.
We do not have a quarterback on our roster right now who can compete with Arch Manning. We're only taking one in the 2023 class, most likely, so unless our 2024 commit is the next coming of Tom Brady, we pretty much know Arch will be our starter heading into the SEC.

Again, you don't know that either. Ewers has played in 1.5 games as a college QB. Saying definitively he'll be gone after next year is another assumption you're making.

What Texas fans are doing is assuming Ewers will declare for the draft after the 2023 season as RS Sophomore, that Texas won't sign anyone from the portal, that Texas won't sign any other high school QBs, that Arch Manning's high school rating will transfer into the college game, and that no one on the roster will beat him out. Hell, Hudson Card was one of the top QBs in the country his class, and he's still only a Sophomore. Maalik Murphy was a 4* and is a freshman.
Bottom line, you have no idea what Arch's college career is going to look like right now.

Let me guess, you rode the short bus to school when you where younger, right? Either that or you are a mind reader. You sure as hell don't strike me as a big booster who calls the shots at tu.

You have Ewers. Is he not as good as Arch? Have you actually seen Arch play in high school? I bet you are a t-shirt fan and have never set foot on tu campus.

I hope it's a Dorito. Our D-line might get hungry from sacking his arse so many times.

And here we thought it was from him being tabbed as one of the best high school recruits of all time despite the kid ducking camps and putting up generally pedestrian results in a pretty uncompetitive private school league.

Ewers will start ahead of Arch until he doesn't. It'll be good for him to watch and learn from Ewers, too. Archie, Cooper, Peyton, Eli, Sark, Quinn... not a bad list of dudes to be mentored by.
I've seen Arch play in high school and he balls out. He's bigger and better than everyone on the field. Check it out for yourself.

And I love it! He's going to be ANGRY by the time he plays y'all.
Folks here in Louisiana say Alabama got the best quarterback in the state.

Unless he has a rocket launcher on his shoulder and is deadly accurate, he can be as angry as he wants. Bottom line is he is rated the way he is based on his name. He has not played the same level of competition as many of the other 5 stars, and has not put himself in camps where he compete with them directly.

I heard NFL scouts are drooling over his 5 minutes of game film.

I watched a slightly above average 4A high school defense harass the frick out of him a few weeks ago and he got completely rattled.
Arch is going to have to play defenses that don't start 5'8" 180lb DE's before we go crowning him.
Ok, well looking at the schedule, Newman has not played a 4A team this season... IN fact I had to revise my view, Newman (a 2A team) has played and BEAT two 5A teams this year. That seems like pretty good competition, unless the 1A-5A system works differently in Louisiana Private Schools.

That doesn't help your argument by itself, there is a reason for that.

maybe... but is/was he the best QB in the nation? I don't think so. I've always thought he was overrated on name only. Doesn't mean he won't be good. I just don't see greatness. If I'm betting today, I'd say he's another Eli... Good, not great.
